Damn it's been a while hasn't it?

Well, may as well post some proof it's still in development. I've worked on new sprites and bosses:





Plus some new graphics updates:

Oh wow, it's been a while since I showed anything I was working on here. And it'll probably be a while afterwards too, so have a few updates.

New Levels

















I also made some interesting new enemies and bosses, though no footage yet. Now able to code stuff with multiple phases lol, which helps for battles.

Oh hey, have some ice castle pics!



Hmm seems normal!



Certain blocks can be broken by falling icicles



Which opens paths to hidden areas!



Enemies get killed instantly if an icicle hits them, including these soldier statues.



They also create ice blocks you can use to cross gaps, like here.



Ice Bros appear as well



And that's nearly the end of room 1! But what happens in the rest of the level? You'll have to wait and see!

This hack looks tighter than the jeans my emo little brother used to wear in high school... Kinda bums me out that it's probably gonna be a minute until we can play it, huh?

*Le sigh... Cést la vie. In the mean time I will be waiting... And hey, OP, you mentioned back in this thread that you "only knew how to program for MK2, MK3 and UMK3". If that's the case, I have a few questions about hacking Mmortal Kombat games in SNES that I'd like to run by you, if you wouldn't mind DMíng me. Please and thank you, my good sir.
Yo! I be gettin' them fat stacks shootin smack, makin rom hacks and sniffin butt-cracks... Boy,  I know this rhyme is whack, and my use of alliteration isn't exactly exhilarating, but it sure beats being depressed and on medicine, dressed like a furry and beating my meat to venison.

The game will hopefully be finished by the end of the year, since it's taken too long so far.

Oh hey, have a few level updates!

Mecha Factory





As you can guess, there's a bit of a theme involving Mechakoopas, conveyor belts and falling explosives in this level.

Thwomp Temple











A lengthy Thwomp focused level with Thwomp breakable blocks, firebars, on/off activated Thwomps and blocks, giant Thwomps and other related mechanics.

Turnaround Troubles





A switch palace where you can only go right if the on/off switch is on, and only left if it's off. This creates some... interesting puzzles and challenges.

Wow, still looks like a very high-potential hack! It's good to see this is still going on.
Helicoptering about till I find some ROM hacking treasure.

Collect 100 purple coins to enter the door and progress.



Ghost House

Moving holes? Uh oh...



And keep moving!





Pyramid Themed Tower



Looks peaceful...



Uh oh, both the background and Phanto have glowing eyes now!

Been working on a few bosses for the game, and a few of them are done or nearly done:







I do need to vary up the latter more though, since its attack pattern is way too basic in 2D. Maybe it needs to shoot projectiles too, or do something crazy in the last phase.

I don't play alotta SMW hacks, don't get me wrong I have quite a few in my collection but your hack I'm looking forward to playing. I'm kinda motivated to get back to working on Luigi's Chronicles 3, I'll hit you up in a PM soon.  :D

I guess I should update with another mostly level, the Flip Block Oasis one...



As you can see, the red and blue platforms switch active state whenever you jump





So you'll need to use them to avoid fish and crocodiles here...



Before going and scaling a mountain via a cave...



Wait, how is this possible? Hint: these blocks only change when you jump from the ground...



Suddenly you're in the clouds!



With totem poles to cross...



And platforms that flip side based on the switch status...

Now to keep everything else secret until whatever demo is released, so not everything is spoiled in advance...
