Utility to mess with Final Fantasy 4 Hard Type.

hey guys. I know it sounds crazy but I was looking for a utility for Final Fantasy 4 that was hard type which is the Final Fantasy iv (J) ROM file and I'm talking about the original not the easy type that is Super NES Final Fantasy 2 or Final Fantasy 4 advance.

I'm talking the original Final Fantasy 4 Hard Type that's Japanese so does this site have or not?

Most are for the US release (or indeed rerelease) but "Zyrthofar's FF4 ROM Editor" which is found https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/579/

It supports all four SNES versions (both revisions of the US Final Fantasy II, and the Japanese Final Fantasy IV and FFIV Easy Type)

https://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/Final_Fantasy_IV does also list some hacks to make the game harder if you wanted to go that path, many of the tools listed for the US game should work with it as well (though do take backups such that you can revert a few changes if needs be).

I did found one that's some meant for Japanese FF4 and when I tried to download and did it's just a something and open file with something else like Adobe. Listen since I thought Chaos Rush is gonna do that same to 4, 5 and 6 for the super NES and he decide not to, I thought I take matters into my own hands like doing my own script and stuff on FF 1-6 but based on the pixel remaster so.

It's a online editor, once you're done, you click on "Save Rom" and the download starts.
It should give you a zip with a rom map, a .js file and the rom (.smc/sfc).

But I am meant to do this 1-6 in 123 order and about that ff4re I think I opened it as Adobe and I tried to reverse it but nothing. Did I mess up?

You only have to do this once you enter to FF6tools page:

• Load your rom.
• Edit the things you want.
• Click on "save".
• Unzip the zip file that has been downloaded.

I have never used FF4 Rom Editor, but should work the same.

(sighs) I've been sent n a wild goose chase. I gotten tools program but it's only a 7z file. I'm in a loss so what should I do? create my own FF tools of 1-6?

Did it not occur to you to spend a minute Googling what a 7z file is?

This is a fairly common archive format, not unlike .zip or .rar. You can open it with 7-Zip, though I prefer IZArc.

Your posts are hard to read.

Whatever you downloaded probably by some coincidence had the same three-letter file extension as something associated with Adobe (Acrobat? Photoshop? You didn't specify) on your computer.  Why don't you just provide the URL of the page you downloaded it from?

7z files are almost the same as .zip and .rar.
You should be able to extract it with winrar.
