Antidote is a rebalancing hack that attempts to give a real, viable use or value to as many aspects of FFT as possible while making few nerfs or flashy changes so you still feel like you're playing the same FFT, just with more options available. Both for you, and your AI adversaries.

Hardly the first hack of its kind for FFT, but maybe the first to be uploaded on this site? Feel free to leave any feedback/comments.

Thanks for posting. It looks very similar in overall style to my Emergence hack (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3291/), but takes a different approach to a number of things. Since mine was a PSP hack, I wasn't able to use a lot of the awesome ASM hacks out there. I love the level 50 cap.

Yeah, setting everything else aside, once you have a way of skipping cutscenes it's hard to go back lol.

I released a potential final update for this today, anyone that's interested can check it out.  :woot!:

Would you recommend this hack for absolute first timers who want some quality of life for an improved experience? I'm not the purist type who wants to play an unpolished game first, I'd rather play a game with improvements when possible. Or is this hack more difficult than the original game and is only aimed towards returning players?

If you're good at strategy games and/or enjoy being challenged then I'd recommend it for a first timer. Even if you get stuck, you can just grind out levels and abilities so the increased difficulty only goes so far anyways. That being said it is harder, so if you just want the original difficulty with QoL changes and the PSP translation then I'd recommend the other hack I released instead:
