Hi I'm new to the whole rom hacking community I've been able to add plenty of rooms to my snes mini with no issues but adding games that require patches has been difficult maternalbound redux for instance I finally got terranigma working but its in German lol can anyone help???

Have you tried running the games you're trying to add in an emulator on your PC?

If they don't work in a different emulator, then with SNES roms, the overwhelmingly vast majority of problems result from using a patch that expects a headered ROM on an unheadered ROM, or vice-versa. See http://www.romhacking.net/faq/?page=faq#question4 .
