There seems to be a lot of controversy on this game. I can't speak from experience as I didn't order the last crowdfunding... but a lot of people tell me that they weren't happy with the overall handling of the project (and some apparently don't have theirs yet).
THE LOCUSTS!
Just checking Watermelon's site again, it still has the same relatively vague rants its had since 2017 complaining about "the locusts who wanted us to fail" without exactly explaining what they're talking about.
I don't know if it's about people deliberately ordering and canceling games just to mess with them, or if it is people who just don't really like having their money tied up in a purchase that Watermelon it seems left some people waiting up to seven years to get fulfilled.
Not a very trustworthy business model, but hey apparently if even a PROFESSIONAL company like Infogrammes (sorry, "Atari") can pull something similar off with that VCS thing and maybe somehow not get sunk by it, SURE!
