Patch files too big and hosted offsite?
« on: October 25, 2021, 07:14:32 am »
Hi all,

I have a zipped patch file for a rom hack over the 30 MB limit hosted through Google Docs. I have a shared URL for it, but it isn't a direct link like RHDN requires in the "Filename" section in "Submissions".

It looks like the "Filename" field is required, so is it fine to put the Google Docs URL even if it isn't actually a direct link? The shared URL I have brings you to a download page where you have to click a download button for the zipped patch.

I will have this shared Google Docs link in the "Description" field for my patch, but didn't know what exact URL to put in the required "Filename" field for "Submissions"? Is it ok to use the Google Docs shared link even it isn't technically "direct"?

Thanks in advance!
