So I've decided to learn a bit more and started reading on Tables and Text Editing on the Getting Started thing. One of the documents points to a specific program called Thingy, however it apparently isn't compatible with my version of Windows. Can someone point me to another program with the same purpose? Also, if there's already a topic on this, I'm sorry, but there's over a hundred pages of topics here and maybe I just didn't find it.

Do you mean this utility? This hex editor is for DOS, that's why it's not compatible with Windows.

I use DarkTabler to make tables. The hex editor I use is WindHex32.

DOSBox works adequately for these things (or one of its various offshoots, like DOSBox-X or vDOS).

I've never used Thingy.

I think Hexposure is the only DOS-based hex editor I've used. (though I know that one has required DOSBox to run correctly since XP )
