How to interpret an NES Memory Map?
« on: August 10, 2021, 12:59:42 pm »
I've come across Himajin Jichiku's memory map for Rockman 2. I can read the Japanese, but I don't understand the series of numbers going from $00-$711. For example, what does $BA tell me to look for in the game code? Any light someone might shed on this would be much appreciated.

Can you provide a link, so that people can be sure what you're referring to?

Of course. My apologies for omitting to do so earlier. The file can be viewed here:https://www.dropbox.com/s/1abz66wcjtwm5rk/%E3%83%A1%E3%83%A2%E3%83%AA%E3%83%9E%E3%83%83%E3%83%97.txt?dl=0.

The numbers on the left are probably RAM addresses.

Makes sense since the NES has 2KB of RAM (address 0 to $7FF).
