Dear all,
I hope this finds you well,

First, I wish you all happy holidays and belated Christmas...

Next, I posted earlier a request which got removed (that's what you get for not reading rules lol)...

I came from reddit as someone said "you can request game translation on romhacking" but that also is wrong...

Nevertheless, I have been searching the internet for tutorials and guides on how to reverse and decompile a ps2 game so I can translate it and rebuild it again but that was a dead-end for me as far as I have seen...

The game I want to translate is Japanese which is called:
Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer

It's a very old game, initially released on PC and later was released on PS2, the disappointment was the language being Japanese only, no English...

I don't mind spending hours to make it English, I appreciate tips about how to do it...

Thanks you all...

Ps. I hope I posted in the right place and following the rules and guidelines...

If you read the sticky thread at the top of the forum, you would see that translation requests go here. But as you can see, there is no shortage of requests already.

Perhaps you could suggest what features the PS2 version of the game offers over the PC version? It's already pretty unlikely that anyone is going to consider a random request, but if the game is already the same as the PC version, then that makes it even more unlikely.

Anyway, have you searched around this message board already? I might also suggest:

Thanks for your prompt reply,
The difference is it has a tutorial at the begging and more stability compared to the PC version...

I have been in a situation where I lost an item and I had to start all over because of some bug where the item doesn't regenerate...

Another case, a quest got stuck because I somehow finished the quest before starting it (such as killing a target) and this made me start over as well...

QuoteIn Japan, the game was ported by Imagineer for the PlayStation 2 under the title Might and Magic: Day of the Destroyer (マイト アンド マジック 〜デイ・オブ・ザ・デストロイヤー〜, Maito ando Majikku 〜Dei obu za Desutoroiyā〜). The game has just a few minor changes.

Playing a PC game on a phone is hard but PS2 is now playable using AetherSX2, this will allow me to play my childhood pc game on my phone...

It might not be a good reason to have this request fulfilled by others but I don't mind doing it myself if I know where to start and how...
