File this one under "I have no idea" but I've had Stage 1 from the NES version of Snow Brothers stuck in my head, all day.

I've been in a Christmas mood lately, so I've got this OC Remix take on Dreams Dreams from NiGHTS Into Dreams in the background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSsZD5rq7M0

It's a touch melancholy though, so I need a dose of Windmill Hills from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze to offset it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCwlck3Xpms

I remember renting Breath of Fire I from Blockbuster and just being like "I saw this in an ad in EGM, what is this" and I played it and I was like

"This is 10x as good as it has any right being, for a company that's never done an RPG up to now"

The full NEO The World Ends With You soundtrack is out in the wild. It's really good but I think square-enix is hell-bent on takedowns of it on Youtube.

I discovered only yesterday - through a Youtube comment  ::) - that FF9 pandemonium song is a mere remix of FF2 pandemonium song. Somehow the melody is well hidden in organ chords, and because it's played twice slower it makes it much less noticeable.

Indeed. At 0:28 that's straight up Pandemonium Castle from FF2.

Ancient Ys Vanished - First Step Towards Wars (PC88 Version)

I have a special place in my heart for this one. Not only do I happen to have red hair (thxverymuch), this one was my first Steam purchase where I was like "Whoa some of these games on Steam are badass."

Ys I+II Chronicles or something like that... It's pretty rad

I stumbled across Tim Follin's Pictionary soundtrack.
It's one of the best pieces of chiptune I've ever heard, and one of the best things to ever come out of the NES soundchip period even.

https://youtu.be/DzTDAgG4EXk

I just love that Tim basically threw up his hands and is like, fuck it, I'm gonna shred, don't care what game.
So you basically end up with this hilariously incongruent mix of these absolute banger tracks playing over NES Pictionary of all things.

Skeleton Boomerang OST by +Tek
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKypRv5OwvM

Personal favorite is Disco Necropolis, but the entire soundtrack just grooves,
+Tek killed it on that synth, and then resurrected it's corpse to keep on jamming.
