Thanks for the support!

The game is currently substantially complete, with a beta finished (v1.25.2).  Rosters are updated through last week, with the campaign ladder setup to mimic the current season, the exception being the final four teams.

A couple more glamour shots for now...

Thanks, Dzumeister and TripleDaGOD!

So the 2K22 will much more fully leverage the Mattrizzle Player Engine, meaning many more current players, plus a few additional surprises, thanks to Mattrizzle himself.  Here's another teaser of the features list from an old version...

Impressive, seems you guys already breaking the boundaries with Jam modding. Thanks for keeping this game alive for so much more years to come.

With you on fire and your great tutorials , this series will never ends.

NBA JAM 2K99 will be a reality

lol

May I say to you an idea?
Why not a FIBA Jam World version with national teams instead of NBA....

Success!

Thanks!  With those two tutorials here on RHDN, I'm fairly certain one would be able to create a FIBA World Jam.  I don't follow FIBA, so I wouldn't be the best person to put that one together.  But it's a great idea.

Got a couple more teaser images sitting on retrohoops.net:

Awesome, was just checking the forum to see if you were going to update for next season. What roster do you currently have set for the Orlando Magic? Will you be adding their rookies (#5 and #8 picks in the draft). Last season did not go how I thought, Fultz got injured early and we traded our top 3 scorers, so it was bittersweet playing the game with my favorite team. Looking forward to playing with players actually on the team again.

Hey, orlandojumpoff.  Thanks for checking in.

I tend to avoid going too deep into the draft because it's a guess as to how these cats will turn out, and I only plan to release one roster set (similar to 2K20 and 2K21).  That being the case, I'm limiting to the first three picks, similar to last year.  Current projections seem to be some combination of Cunningham/Green/Mobley, so I have those ready to go if the draft plays out as such.

Since I'm still in beta and the game's unreleased, I also plan to get the rosters updated once more at the tail end of the free agency moves.  There'll never be a perfect line-up for every team, but my plan is to get something reasonably close as of the start of season (again just like the previous years' releases).  After that, injuries and what not are what they will be.

A quick look at v1.26.2, with roster updates through today...

There are now just over 170 current NBA players in the game.

you're on fire eskayelle. One thing that bothered me a bit. Is it possible to make player selection change as soon as you press the button without a delay. So you can blow through the entire list without it taking forever. I forget which team, I guess it was the allstar, there were like dozens of player combinations. Took forever to go through them. If it's possible it would be great.. In fact, any time you have to move the cursor, select team, or press a button to change players, it would be nice if it was instant. thx.

The delay happens because the game needs time to draw the portraits and the VWF name sprites each time you swap teams or player combos. Strip that code out, and the game does load things instantly. I may be able to make it so that holding a button will allow you to cycle through player combos until you let go, which will reduce button taps. However, the delay would be far more difficult to eliminate, if not impossible.

Maybe make it so that only player names get loaded initially, so you can cycle through them faster, but when you stop pressing the button then it'll load everything.

I just tested this update... Cleanest version out there. Just a lot of fun fun fun...
I have one question though. Raptors sound sounds low in volume compared to the others. Can be equalized, perhaps using the one from Android Jam? I didn't test yet if Grizzlies have it too.

The hiddens are a lot of fun to play with. Superb version!

Thanks!  With time and trial & error, I'd wager a yes.  But... when you increase volume too much, you end up with a fair amount of crackling and popping in the voice clips.

Is there an "easy" tutorial about the sounds? I'm willing to try until they're at perfect vol. Also, I know you get tons of suggestions but I was thinking if 2 things were possible.
a) To have a fast recovery by pressing steal/pass after you get shoved. Like the arcade has. Now, you get pushed and that's it.
b) I remember reading that bg music is near impossible. But what about replacing just one sound with for example the "carnaval" sound. Then it plays in once in a while... It could be a solid addition...

Well, obviously this is massive data right there. And hands down respect for all you guys did.
But, it's "too much" at once. I wouldn't know where to even "start" to just locate those 2 sounds and swap.
Thanks for the reference buddy, but I think I should refrain.
