I'd be interested in an actual Game Boy version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The 7th Stand User.  (Obviously from Final Fantasy Legends, since that's what that game's engine was based on.)

I had an idea of mod but for this I would need to edit the personas of the game, such as Messiah for Messiah Picaro or Orpheus for Orpheus Picaro. Would you have a chance to do that?

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a Gameboy version of the Digimon Ryo Arc stories myself. But hey, we can all dream, right?

Julayla: I'm working on a translation of Tag Tamers for the WonderSwan itself if that helps. Or do you just really want to play it on GameBoy?

Guilty Gear: The Missing Link [PSX]:

I wanna make a tweak to the conditions for unlocking Baiken.
Originally, you have to make a No Continue Run with Sol or Ky. They'll fight her after credits.
I want to give her the "Accent Core" treatment, like the conditions to face Order Sol: you mustn't lose a round or match until you reach Justice. Then you can continue as many times you want. Then fight Baiken. With any character.

For JAP, USA and EUR ISOs.

Wow, you're working on Tag Tamers? Sounds pretty cool.

A Quality of Life Hack for Super Mario 64 on the N64.
The camera system is pretty outdated.

A camera system which is similar to super mario sunshine would be great.
Using the c buttons to continually rotate the camera (not fixed camera positions) and a button (most likely R) to move the camera behind mario (like in the the DS remake).

Maybe since the series is now on the 25th anniversary, how about someone make a re-hack of Sailor Moon: Another Story (you know, New Game+ and Hard Mode for example) and remake the titles of the Sailor Moon logo to make it fit with the modern logo?

I'd say it would be about as easy and as much work as just properly emulating the actual peripheral. It shouldn't be that complicated for anyone with some experience working on emulating peripherals.

This game and peripheral would work on a western DS too right? IIRC the system is region free. It might be worth importing. Then I could take a look at the emulation as well. If it's not too much work I might even consider translating it.

I believe this would be a region free title, as it was made before the release of the DSi, which was Nintendo's go at region locking their handhelds.

It would be hard to implement a camera like Sunshine since the N64 doesn't have a right analog stick.
My suggestion for a quality of life hack for Super Mario 64 would be:
  • Try to implement a camera system similar to that of the Banjo games. I feel like those control the best out of the entire platformers from the N64 era, and are the closest to the newest scheme of camera control.
  • Implement Luigi as a playable character with his own custom abilities (from SM64DS maybe) and sound clips. Toggle between Mario or Luigi in the Select Game menu with a button input or something.
  • Add the bonus stars/maps from Super Mario 64 DS (without the stupid mini games of course, just the other new 30 starts)

I know it's a really trivial thing but could someone who knows their way around Famicom Disk System games edit Bubble Bobble so that the PPU's red emphasis bit isn't always activated?  As things stand, it has a nasty pinkish tint which isn't nice to look at.

As to why I don't just play the NES release instead, it's because the FDS version has save functionality that the cartridge lacks.

Should be as simple as looking for writes to $2001 (or whatever RAM address is used as a read mirror, I think the FDS has a standard address for that?) which set the high 3 bits and change that to avoid setting those bits.

The iQue DS was a little earlier, but has only about 5 translated games.
And the lockout is so feeble that patching the ROMs takes literally one byte.

Open the .fds file in a hex editor, go to $8B92, change 26 to 06. :)

I'll be honest, I didn't know about this element of the PPU, but as KingMike suggested, I just had to see when $2001 was written to, found that it's written from $FE in RAM, and on booting up the NES ROM, it loads it with 06, which for some bizarre reason was changed to 26 in the FDS version.

Very strange, but there's your fix. ;)

Just changed that one hex value as suggested, and it worked perfectly!  Thanks to the both of you, Psyklax and KingMike!

If only it were that simple to convert the already English-friendly BS Special Tee Shot from a Satellaview file to a Canoe compatible stand-alone ROM...

I never knew there was an iQue based on the DS line. I only knew that they pushed region-locking pretty hard on handhelds with the DSi and later 3DS with really poor campaigning about how it's "good" regions get exclusive games. And this was at a time when Nintendo of America was skipping first-party releases for Wii, already in English; Operation Rainfall spawned from this type of thinking.

This is probably going to sound pretty stupid, but a hack/patch for Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls with a revised 15 puzzle minigame would be nice. The minigame is simple enough, and I'm not looking to change it, but rather change how it doles out prizes. The guide I own says that you get prizes based on how fast you complete it, but that's not the case. You instead get prizes based on whether or not you beat the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place scores.

A hack/patch to reset it to what the guide says (I can post a picture if needed) would be nice, so I'm not grinding away trying to shave milliseconds off my time would be nice.

That's a great idea, I really want to see someone add all the exclusive DS content to the N64 port.

I would like to see a hack for the PS2 port of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake that will restore the original portraits for all the characters.

I also would like to see a hack for Sonic CD that will restore the two unused zones (Desert Dazzle Zone & Final Fever Zone) back to it as well.

I also would like to see hacks for the NES & SNES ports of Super Mario Bros. 2 that will add the Robirdo boss to them as well.
