Shade Aurion: No worries - those Konami GB Collections are quite cool, there are also colourised versions of the GB Gradius/Nemesis 1 and 2, Parodius, TwinBee, Operation C/Probotector and Mystical Ninja.
Well, the Mystical Ninja on that collection was also the only English release of that particular game.

I always wanted to see a new black outfit more real dark gray comic in Batman Return of the Joker NES, replace color palette in the big sprite of batman, the icon of combat with bosses, the introduction or stage clear in a new black and gray suit or black-gray armour sprite

There is, or was a Return of the Joker NES pallette hack.  I have no clue where it could be now, I still have my patched .nes file for it.

If I recall it was on a Brazilian rom hacking site of which I cannot recall the name of

I took some pics since I know we all hate the kind of post that claims the existence of something but provides nothing to show for it

I forgot how to upload images so this is the best I can do

I'm not sure if anyone's done this, but I'd like to see a retranslation of the Sonic Adventure games with some of the stuff that was censored to be restored

Is there any reason for changing two shades of blue into a single shade of gray?

edit: oh it does have two shades of gray, but they are too similar.

These would be better, imo.

is great, this picture I like more with 2 shades of light gray and dark, you can update the original patch to 1.1

thanks for the link of the patch to foiopaulo

Now I wonder why didn't sunsoft shade his torso arms and legs with the highlight color... Looks better, right?

yes, this better detailed contrast

Batman Return of the Joker NES
- apply to the batman character sprite in the game two shades of gray
- idea for the hack to change the sprite of the phases where this batman is flying, for a new sprite of a bat-armor or exo-flying suit has the game's admosphere and cybernetic enemies

how about 5 hacks for Super Mario All-Stars & World that would auto-boot the individual games?

or, this i would like even more, auto-boot hacks for the Super Mario Advance games that did away with the annoying "CHOOSE A GAME" screen (effectively just removing Mario Bros. Arcade)

OR, a combo hack (Super Mario Advance All-Stars) that has the "CHOOSE A GAME" screen, but you pick from the 4 Super Mario Advance games (and Mario Bros. Arcade)

anyways, it could be a cool idea

A the thought just entered my head for a Superman Mario Bros. 2 USA RomHack staring the Doki Doki Literature Club Girls.  Has anyone else thought of that yet?

I kinda already made a post about this (which will likely get removed lol), but can anyone make SRAM hack (NES) for Ninja Gaiden II, Batman, and/or Vice: Project Doom? If there's a tutorial on how to do it myself somewhere, I'm down to do it myself too.

What about the Yume Kojo characters in the SNES version of Mario Bros. 2 (or in All Stars)? That could be interesting

Hello, new here. Just wanting to share some hack ideas that I think need to be made:

  • A sound restoration hack for all four Super Mario Advance games, especially SMA2, which suffered the worst when porting the music (restoring the fading transitions to SMA1 would be a nice touch, too). In the case of SMA4, restrict the music to only use the original SMAS instruments as much as possible, including the new music.
  • A sound restoration hack for the GBA ports of the Magical Quest trilogy, as well as Aladdin. This is optional, as I think playing the SNES trilogy on my N3DS would be much easier.
  • Sound restoration for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA), especially for the sound effects.
  • Restoring the voices from Shin-chan: Aventuras de Cine (NDS) into Shin-chan: Aventuras en Cineland (GBA). Restoring the anime music would be nice too.
  • Restoring the spoken dialogue from Crayon Shin-chan: Densetsu wo Yobu Omake no Miyako Shockgaan! (GBA) into Shin-chan Contra los Muñecos de Shock Gahn (GBA). Restoring the anime music would be nice too.
  • Restoring the anime music to both Shin-chan: Flipa en Colores (NDS) and Shin-chan: Aventuras de Cine (NDS)
What do you think?

Here's an idea:

Final Fantasy 2 for NES, made satisfying.

There have been plenty of modifications over the years that have made the game easier--too easy I would say--but the game still provides little satisfaction as far as gameplay in any existing form. This is a true shame because FF2 had a spectacular story for its day, amazing graphics, music, dungeon and monster design, and set forth more conventions for the rest of the series than the original. I truly would love to play it on regular rotation with the other classic FF's but it's just too miserable of an experience. Here is what should be changed to the original NES rom for an ideal version of the game.

I would throw out the entire stat up / stat down mechanics for a traditional level based system. While the mechanics would be nothing innovative, I think it's safe to say that us retro gamers still love straight forward leveling even though we've played through hundreds of these systems. The way I conceive of this concept, Firion would be balanced between gaining physical and magical stats on each level, Gus would lean toward physical stats and Maria would lean magical. Each of the characters would have specific weapon and spell options they could equip with mild overlap between characters. Weapon and spell levels would be programmed to automatically level up when each character hits a benchmark level (ie, every 5 character levels, each of their weapon and spell levels would increase by 1 for instance). This would solve the worst problem of the game requiring the player to cast each magic spell hundreds of times just to make the spell viable, along with giving each character a few viable weapon options at any given time. Standard difficulty should be set close to that of the original Final Fantasy release, making the game feel like it belongs between FF1 and FF3 (satisfying us old school purists), but we could also have a double xp / gil optional patch for all the folks who hate grinding.

That's my pitch. I'd love to be involved in the concepts / balancing / bug testing if anyone wanted to take this on. Even if not,I'd simply love the chance to enjoy this game for once.

Thanks for listening!

I would like to see a color hack for TMNT IV: Turtles in Time that would change the colors to make the game look a little more like its arcade counterpart.

Pocky & Rocky (SNES)
When you switch upgrades (red sphere that gives more power vs. blue sphere that spreads the attack wider), have the new one be the same level that the one you're currently holding instead of reverting back to level 1.

You should be able to switch upgrades without being punished for it. You lose an upgrade level when you get hit anyway, that's enough to keep things balanced.

It would make grabbing the wrong sphere by mistake less frustrating, and being able to change upgrades often depending of situation would be fun. As it is, each player ends up sticking to either one.

Nintendo 64 Cruis'n USA - restore the animals:

A friend found the censored GIB collision, but the meat chunks are removed, the 3D models are missing, but him used another models to test the collision routine:

This actually is the censored routine. Now is necessary add the missing models (with the textures) that are two, 1 type for the deer and another one for the cow.

You haven't been reading my thread, have you? ;)

I agree that FF2 is a pain in the ass with the levelling system, so I did something to try and remedy it in my thread, though I'm going to go back to it until I'm ready to submit it to the site.
