Anyone remember the Neo Geo Pocket?
SNK vs. Capcom Extended
It would be like Smash Remix.

-Hidden fighters unlocked from the start.
-Additional characters (I'd welcome guest characters, but that kinda defeats the purpose of being SNK vs. Capcom.)
-Reworked music (i.e. changing Terry's theme from KoF '97 to Fatal Fury 2 and extending the Capcom fighter themes to make them feel complete.)
-Rearranged rivals (I feel that some, if not most of them, didn't make sense.)

I would like to suggest a slight speed increase for two great SNES games:

- Return of Double Dragon (Japanese version) is a great beat'em up for the SNES with a great variety of moves that could be a lot more fun with a small speed increase. A lot of people have complained over the years that it's too slow. Just a little speed increase, to be able to still appreciate the complex movelist of the game and blocking system. This could be a very popular hack among the community.
It would also be great to have the little ending text from the USA version appear in this more complete Japanese version, instead of just having the staff credits roll as you defeat the final boss of the game.

- Ranma 1/2 Chougi Ranbu Hen is a great 1on1 fighting game for the SNES based on the popular Manga/Anime of the same name, similar to Street Fighter II that has some nice graphics and good humour, but its gameplay feels a little too slow. A slight speed increase would definitely make the game more fun and one of the best fighint games on the SNES, a hidden gem. There are still being celebrated some competitive tournaments for this game in Japan.

I hope some skilled hacker could make this happen. Thank You!!

Correct color palette for the Koopalings in Super Mario World (SNES)

How they appear in game:

How they're depicted in the manual:

Can't believe how wildly off the colors are in game.

Idea for Kirby's Adventure: Arcade Mode. What it would entail? Well:
  • No Save Files. Instead, a High Score board if possible.
  • 4 credits (3 continues, since 1 credit is used to start).
  • Time Limit (be sure to be lenient. This is Kirby after all).
  • UFO stays after levels (but as a penalty, have its star poof out as soon as it appears).
  • Minigames only happens after a boss and cycles between the three minigames.
  • Switches instead sends you to an arena or museum (picked randomly) and ends the level.
  • Two Endings, with the true final boss only accessible if you beat it in 1 credit. Otherwise, DDD time.
  • Hard Mode starts as soon as you beat the true final boss.

Metroid Prime

- Beam Troopers weapons have the same effects as Metroid Prime's attacks: according to online sources only the Power Trooper has an increased rate of fire from the Power beam. Replaying Prime over the years I always felt like those guys were half implemented. It does mention in the scans that they are imperfect copies of Samus weapons but still.

This would make the Wave Trooper's shots give the electrical hud scrambling effect, the Ice trooper would freeze Samus, and the Plasma would give the dot burn effect. Could maybe increase the Power's damage on top of their other ability.

- Elite/Omega Pirate improvements:
1) Making their long range bombs even more damaging with a bigger explosion AOE. They do hit hard but seem really easy to avoid. This would make getting out of range an actual threat.

2) Making them work more like Sheegoths, having to charged them up by shooting at their energy siphon before they do the wave attack where they expose themselves, rather than just waiting for them to do it.

I haven't seen much Prime hacks out there, but it seems like there are some people working on it. I'd imagine the Troopers and the Elite bombs would be easier than the siphon thing.

Well, now that someone finally found and dumped this lost piece of game history for everyone to enjoy, I hope someone can find time to translate the formerly lost McDonald's DS game.

Could someone help make a few changes to Sonic 3 & Knuckles?
  • Sonic 2-style sprites.
  • Knuckles' Hang Mobile (Egg-Robo) sprites.
  • Include the following scrapped prototype tracks.

Aren't these fixes available in hacks that have already been made?

Technically yes, to an extent. But none of them have really been perfected...

  • Attempts at integrating the Spin Dash and Drop Dash mechanics have been found but were left incomplete.
  • Some of the glitches had been removed but sadly not all of them as those projects were inevitably left unfinished.
  • Sonic 3 Complete achieved much of what I wanted done but was unfortunately left a bit bloated with all the extra settings
  • And it in fact does not actually use the original SEGA '93 prototype tracks for all of the tracks previously mentioned in the original post.

As far as I know, Sonic 3 Complete and Sonic 3 - A.I.R have these corrections, or at least most of them.

For Sonic 3, search for a hack called "Sonic 3 Complete"
For both Sonic 1 & 2, stick to "Sonic Classic Heroes", as that one combines both Sonic 1 & 2, and allows you to use all 3 characters at the same time, being able to switch between whichever you want at any time.
I believe Sonic 3 Complete has Tails Assist, though I'm not sure of Classic Heroes has it too (if not, simply switch to Tails and fly away).

Please translate the Japanese text in "Stardust Suplex" and "JWP: Pure Wrestling Queens" on Super Famicom into English.

These are great games that would love a translation!
They don't have a ton of Japanese text in menus like Fire Pro (the game play is very similar to those games, which is a good thing, and four player options are available), but mostly in inter-titles, taunts, endings, etc.

I really want the official Subsistence translations of Metal Gear 1 and 2 ported back to the MSX2 versions.
The fan translations are outdated and are not as good as the official ones that came with MGS3 Subsistence.

This is especially important as the Subsistence ports have lower framerates than the original MSX2 versions.
