This hack should also include the boss like shang tsung and Goro along with the move lists from mortal kombat 1 genesis version

How about a hack for Golden Axe II that lets you beat the game on easy mode?

I love the game, but it not letting you finish on easy mode (which is challenging enough!) is such a kick in the nuts! It keeps you from playing casually, which is what the game of that sort is best for.

Another idea is to make the 1UPs found in Zelda II increase the starting lives count as well as incrementing the current life count. This would make the game's challenge much more tolerable and make the item actually useful and worth seeking out. I almost suspect that it was supposed to work this way but perhaps a bug kept it from working properly. I wouldn't be surprised if there were existing code to do this but it just didn't work.

I know this isnt a popular opinion, but I love Final Fight 3 for SNES. I think its the best of the series, but the slowdown is almost a deal breaker.

I was wondering if anyone could apply the SA-1 hack to this game as a way to deal with this?

Zelda II redux has an optional patch made for that.

Simcity on the SNES is fantansic but there's so much room for improvement that I find myself zoning out and daydreaming about features whenever I'm waiting for the taxes to be collected...

Vanilla changes I'd love to see (AKA "Game is great, don't break it"): a couple more save slots, additional scenarios (including the PC's Dullsville and Hamburg scenarios), landscaping options (plant forest, dig/fill lakes and rivers), maybe a map editor and mouse support.

Shoot to the moon changes that would blow this game out the water (AKA "Let's take a page or two or ten from the sequels"): more type of roads, add education, healthcare, entertainment, parking space, garbage, sewers and water management to the needs of your citizens, complete overhaul of the gift system so some of the gifts (big parks, zoos, amusement parks, libraries, casinos, police/fire HQ, train stations) can be purchased normally, add military bases, farmland, mining, oil, forestry industries so your cities go from flyover state all the way to ginormous metropolis... I could go on and on, the list just never ends.

Another idea is to make the 1UPs found in Zelda II increase the starting lives count as well as incrementing the current life count.

That would have been cool, that's how it should have always been  :cookie:

Also, color version of the GB Mega Man games? Yes please!

Jeville, which patch specifically do you mean?

Zelda 2 Redux adds that as default.
The optional patch undoes that hack basically.

You can easily make a separate patch for it:
1) Patch a Zelda 2 ROM with Redux.
2) Make a copy of the patched ROM, and patch the copy with the Original Link Dolls patch.
3) Create a new IPS taking the Original Link Dolls patched ROM as base, and Zelda 2 Redux as the modified one.

And that's it, the created patch will make it so that every time Link gets a new Doll, the lives counter will be permanently upgraded by one.

Hi

Can anyone please make a hack for Resident Evil 2, Gamecube, and add the Quick-Turn feature that is in the N64 version (and is in the RE3 Gamecube version too)?

The gamecube version of RE2 is inferior to the N64 for that simple but must have feature.

You'd be sad to know that no official version of RE2 has quick turn.
The only version to do this is RE2 Rebirth by Gemini iirc, and that's a mod for the PC version of RE2.

I'd like to also request a quick turn hack for RE2, but for the N64 version.

I'd like to see that done too. It's a change not seen in other NES Mega Man games and would be welcome if reverted.

As for other Mega Man games, I'd love to see all five Game Boy games colorized. Either by color hacks or rebuilt from the NES games themselves.
And then Roll-Chan World, but that would be a whole other critter.  Might even need to do that from scratch.

I have a couple of ideas.

1. To make Legend of Legaia like Legaia 2 Duel Saga where Normal Arts build up your spirit bar and only Hyper arts and Miracle Arts decrease it. Currently all arts decrease the Spirit Bar.

2. For both Zelda 2 and The Battle Of Olympus: Make their Fireball and Sword Beam attack larger and more deadly.

It would be nice if the English Terminologies of the first four Phantasy Star games were updated to be more in line with the rest of the series' lore.

i.e.: Foi < Foie
      Wat < Barta
      Lassic < Lashiec
      Algo < Algol
      Dark Force < Dark Falz

But this has already been implemented in most of the series retranslations and that’s what I’m trying to do with PSII by changing the names of Alis and Lassic in the introduction but that so far no hacker anywhere has wanted to help me ...
And another thing, Dark Falz is actually Dark Phallus.

That's odd, cause I noticed in the wikia/fandom page that his name was changed  back to Dark Falz in Phantasy Star Online 2. Or maybe the Wikia/fandom page isn't up to date.

Also, do you know which retranslation hacks have made these implementations? Any that you would recommend?

Has anyone tried to combine Ninja Cop Saizou and Wrath of Black Manta?

I've read that Ninja Cop Saizou had an extra level, that is missing in Wrath of Black Manta.

Also i like the realistic style of Wrath of Black Manta, but would like to make it actually worthwhile to interrogate the bad guys and saving the kids.

I was playing Ocarina of Time and realized that you can't unequip the shield. I thought that was weird. It would be better if it could be unequipped

Might be able to have a cheat done that way, and some of the N64 cheat hardpatch stuff is not the worst (short of even the old GBA stuff but somewhere and this is hopefully simple enough that it is not going to make it work hard).

If there is a use deku shield as old Link then see what that is about -- chances are it force equips a shield and the location it does that is then of interest.
If not then flick between normal shield and mirror shield until you find the value for it, or if that is going to be too tedious cycle between tunics and scan around the memory locations involved there as shield is probably nearby. Check the same location when you start a game and have not yet got a shield. Whatever that value is should hopefully do -- from what I have seen of the game it is more of a is equippable by flag than young Link and old Link being entirely separate characters, though there is that as well.

At this point make some form of button activator https://gamehacking.org/wiki/Hacking_N64 and there you can consider patching. Call it unequip shield combo and you are done.

Would love to work on a translation of Burai - Hachigyoku no Yuushi Densetsu, a game with visuals done by the same artist from Saint Seiya anime, the first one came on PC-98, there was a washed down version made for snes and then there's the sega-cd version too.

I don't know how to translate japanese, nor how to romhack as quick as most guys work, but it would be nice to make it playable for everyone else
