This is music hack of some Sega Genesis games with the GEMS sound driver.
For those who don't know, GEMS is a sound driver used within the United States. It was very popular with developers
of the time because of its versatility. However, it gained a reputation for having poor sound.
The reason is often cited as many musicians used the stock instruments instead of making their own.

This is more of a test than anything else. For now, I have modified the instruments of Garfield: Caught in the Act and Comix Zone.
Take note, this only edits the instruments and nothing else.
I would like some feedback on the sounds.

but what is your goal with this? would it perhaps improve the audio of some mega drive games?

You can also replace the whole songs, ask SeregaZ on the deflemask discord server.

One example by me for R'nR Raing:

(the converson by him is still wip though)

Of course you can also replace the music with CD music nowadays.

I plan on hacking some game music.
Again, this is more of a test.
