How can i hack/write the code to leave the Job Selection just like the original is?
I'm working on a Hack but i think i broke that selection using another program and i don't want to start over, because that probably took a lot of time.

Can anyone give me hints or instructions about that?

The hack is complete, but that fatal flaw is turning the game into a unplayable one, due to visual bugs in any screen that shows the Characters Name.  :-[

Do you have backup versions of your hack? You could go back to a version that doesn't have the glitch and compare the hex code with the first version that does have the glitch. By changing manually the hex back to the file in which there was no glitch you can correct any fault in your selection screen. A program that compare two ROM files is FlexHex:

http://www.flexhex.com/docs/help/search/compare.phtml

Alternatively you could look up a FF1 doc at what Hex address the selection screen is located and compare your hack to an original ROM of FF1 for that specific part.

First rule in making ROM hacks: ALWAYS make backup copies after making significant progress.

Yes ... I noticed.

Sadly I couldn't fix that bug even with the help of that Flexhex program, so I have no choice but to start over in a clean ROM. I'm sorry to have bothered you guys  :-\ :-[

Hahaha, I am quite fast in what I do but I also get tired quickly.  ::)

It's one of those things that you develop when your income depends on your speed to compose or animate, but at least this time I have written down each change that I must make and how to do it, in theory it should not take long, but who knows.

Thanks guys, enjoy the cookies  :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:
