Very excited to share this project. A lot of hacking and reverse engineering has led to finally being able to translate this game.

Awesome news! I can not wait to play it! Keep up the good work!

Fantastic news! I love when someone decides to pick up one of these kind of titles and bring it to the English-speaking world! This also looks like it's absolutely dripping with classic PS1 charm.

If I may offer one small suggestion after watching the trailer? *Literally* everyone hates it when you stick your translation group name conspicuously in the middle of the screen, or in this case literally into the title graphic. People will not appreciate that. While we know you want to be properly credited for your work and get your name out there, may I suggest moving it down with the copyright information at the bottom of the screen? Created by/Licensed by/Translated by works very well for these sort of projects and will ensure that your name is attached to it without creating what many will consider an eyesore to mar your project.

That said, I look forward to seeing this amazing project come to life and can't wait to play it! I hope you have a great time working on it, and if all goes well, maybe we'll see you on many projects to come! I'm sure the rest of the community is just as excited to see one more of the missing pieces of the PS1 library made accessible to us!

This actually looks super cute and I want to play it now! Can't wait to see your progress on this one :D

2 chapters out of 7 are now fully translated. Most of the texture editing is done. I tried to really keep the style of the original intact:

Only problem is the patch doesn't run on xStations/ODE, even though burned discs and popstarter work totally fine. It's not ECC related. If anyone has any ideas about that I'd love to hear it.

Chapter 3 is complete. I've also put together a video of how the patch looks in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDzV_-O1HH4

It's complete! I've submitted it for approval! I was also able to edit the main character's model to change her outfit and hair color to match classic Arale, and I'm offering it as an option.

Congratulations on the achievement! This show really brings me nice memories of my childhood (even if the game is more focused in the later show's remake, it retains its original charm). Thanks a lot!

Wow! Great work getting it done so quickly!

Your naming of the patch versions is *very* confusing, however. You're calling the altered model "Original" and the default model "Redesign", which is counterintuitive with respect to the game. The default model should be "Original" and the altered should be something like "Classic Look". As-is, most would assume that original is the vanilla model for the game and redesign is the altered version, the exact opposite of the truth. Don't know that there's much to be done about it now, but just my two cents.

I'll look forward to playing this soon. Thanks for the effort!

Awesome. you might hold the record for fastest game translation ever. I remember playing this game using Retroarch AI service and was hoping someone do a fan translation. I used to watch the Dr Slump animes and many Dragon ball fans remember Arale's apperance in Dragonball. Her design in the game is based on the 1997 anime

I try to spell it out clearly in the README file but I guess "Classic Arale Patch" and "Default Arale" should be the descriptors. After I've amassed some typos I'll release v1.1 with that fix.

Edit: I've submitted v1.1 and they are now labelled "English" and "English + Classic Arale" to hopefully avoid all confusion.

Thanks to the feedback I've gotten I've also changed the character portraits in the classic version to better reflect the designs.

Well this is a nice suprise,  I was always curious about this game since I was a pretty big fan of the Manga when it hit my local book store. Got the whole 18 volume run even, though this one looks to be based on a reboot that I never had the chance to see. Still gonna check and see if this runs on my playstation classic once I get the chance.
Somebody alert me when a user friendly BS Zelda hacking tool is made. I will give my soul to work on a faithful SNES remake of Zelda 1.
