Hello greetings to all!
I'm working on a tribute trick to a pixel artist known as Thaddeus who has really surprised me with his latest unfinished work.
This tribute will try to bring part of his work closer through sprites and mosaics collected from various castlevania hacks in which he worked and put his artistic stamp.
This time I will try to recreate Castlevania 3 from my humble artistic ability since by studying Thaddeus's work we understand that he did things
In an incredible and detailed way, his last unfinished works are still valid today and it seems that time has not passed.
It will also be a way to do justice to one of the best nes games.
below some images and gifs of testing the game at a very early stage
From now on, any suggestion, contribution or participation is welcome

Greetings friends !!! :woot!:

I truly hope you adjust the sprites around instead of keeping them clustered like that.

All in all, if or when I find other things related to Thaddeus's stuff I'll share them with you on our discord group

looks very detailed and minimalist quality work of art sprites, great work. :o

the stages remind me and they are like Batman or Shatterhand ... this type of art is a great success, it is perfect for Nes.

This project will not delay the other big project SF II Champion Edition for Nintendo "NES" ?.

Thank you very much! Luckily I have a lot of free time at the moment to do these 2 projects simultaneously and collaborate on another!

Both SF2 Deluxe and this project look equally amazing. :o
I cannot stress enough how great this hack looks so far. Keep up the good work!

While updating the mosaics of the stages, I made some small sprite changes, more of a classic cut

What's "SF2 Deluxe?"

You might also know it as "STREET FIGHTER 2 DELUXE NES", in this very same forum.

Add more detail to the forest instead of making the backgrounds blocks as it throws off the atmosphere

Satoshi_Matrix

This is looking really excellent. Castlevania 3 was always one of the best looking games on the NES and your understanding of how to use the very limited colors available to great effect are worthy of praise.

MorinisThank you very much for the suggestion. I will add more details to the background, also it still costs me a lot to handle the blocks of the floor, I will continue polishing to make a better result!
Satoshi_MatrixThank you very much I am glad you like the approach of the colors below a new screen in process

still need to change the sprite and add many more details

DavidtheIdeaMan

Holy crap, isn't that stage 1 from Rondo of Blood? :o

Because it looks great so far. :)

Anytime man!  I'll send you a link to the Bloodlust Edition remake I'm building in tribute to Thaddeus in a PM that you can see on what I'm building for the forest.  I won't show/advertise on your thread out of respect
