The translation has been finished for quite some time.
And no, the color hack is not currently compatible because Toruzz is working off the original game file. There's nothing stopping anyone from porting the translation over to the color version once it's done, however. :)

Is he not perhaps talking about the patch?:

I haven't had a chance to read through and think about the recent lengthy posts yet. Since there is interest in an updated patch, I'll try to do that and also dig up my old stuff when I get a chance.

I recorded issues people brought up here.

If there are more, submit them at github or send a PM. I'm interested in fixing minor issues but translating with a different philosophy would need to be a new project.

I also tweaked the translation tool and made sure it runs  here.

For now, I'll collect bug reports on the translation patch. I like the idea of a "typo fix" release, but I'm going to wait and see given that some of the work Toruzz is doing could allow for other improvements.

I also wrote some long-winded thoughts about project history and translation philosophy which I put here rather than subject people to a 1000 word forum post.

LOL

l really like the " It's here our story begin!!!". Sounds a lot more epic that the alternative but it's kind of like a sentence from monologue   rather than a conversaton.

I'm sorry for necro posting. I just wanted to ask a question, but Toruzz's mailbox is full. Anyways, I was just wondering, with the recent title screen update for this game as well as the recent color hacks for other games, it made me think of the color hack that Toruzz was working on. The link to his color hack is at the bottom of this post. I was wondering if anyone or him knows if he is still working on it?

Toruzz has previously said that Frog DX is his main and most precious hack that he's working on.
He's taking his time because he really wants to make this the best possible experience all the way through, and he's giving an incredible amount of attention to detail as he goes through it.

That said, he is also working on other projects, he's also currently working on a v2.0 of his Super Mario Land DX hack, so that's on the waiting turn to pop up soon, and afterwards he'll continue with Frog DX.

Sounds good. I have two things to look forward to then. ;D

Does not work for me.

Does the original game work?
I'm not sure if it is you're only problem, but you should use an emulator newer than Visual Boy Advance. It sucks at emulating the MBC2 mapper this game uses.
I use bgb, with accuracy settings enabled.
