(PS1) Extracting .xa audio from .bin ISO, then convert to .wav?
« on: January 28, 2021, 03:11:56 pm »
I've found the following thread that supposedly details the steps to getting audio from PS1 ISOs: http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=21811.0

But I've hit a couple problems, and the game I'm trying to extract music from is Digimon Rumble Arena. It's got some bangers.

PSMPlay doesn't recognize my PowerISO virtual drive, so it can't analyse the ISO. Which leaves XtrActor.net.

1. It's not clear what step 4 means. There's no .LBA file in the ISO, nor is there an "Open..." button to click. What do I put there? A file path to something?

2. "Actual size referred in the ISO file" doesn't make any sense. What size of what file am I looking for here?

So yeah, a wee bit stuck with this. I can supply the .bin and .cue if that would be of any help.

Ooh. I managed to find the .xa files. Thanks for pointing that one out.
