Update By: ExtraOrdinary

Big news for Arabic speaking enthusiasts who know the game, and for new players as well who didn't get the chance to experience the glory of the golden JRPG era!

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first release of Chrono Trigger, the people at the Arabic community found the lack of serious JRPG translations available.

Given that, ExtraOrdinary decided to present a gift to the community knowing the hurdles of the Arabic script; right-to-left text flow, numerals need special handling and menu strings are very tricky to display within those requirements too.

This is by far the most justified method to display Arabic strings without making the player confused about dialogue messages or item names for example being displayed in reverse which happened in many trials before in other titles.

So, enjoy the translation!

Thanks a lot for you all in RHDN community!

Congratulations to the Arabic community for translating the game so people who haven't played it before can finally try out this gem. Whether this means that Chrono Cross will get a translation and/or the DS version getting translated (a new boss exclusive to the DS version ties in with Chrono Cross) will probably remain to be seen.

This is absolutely useless to me, but man, what an achievement! Even the title screen!
Great work!

Nice work, people! I'd never imagined that one day Chrono Trigger could be in a language even more difficult for me to read than Japanese, ;D ;D ;D (in the jp case I can at least distinguish kana and some kanji).

I really have to say that this looks beautiful.  I can't read arabic but I can tell from the screenshots how much work was put into the dialogue. It amazes me to see the lengths fan translations go to.

My hat's off to anyone who translates Chrono Cross to their language (and there are three on the database already).

Beautiful! I'm not part of the targeted public of the translation, but I'd love to see more and more games in Arabic, so guys and girls from the Middle East can play the classics with full recognition of their language and culture.

Please keep'em coming! :woot!:
