Another wonderful design by emco. This little fellow is a red cap, they are a murderous sub species of dwarfs who can move extremely fast. Legends say that travelers who stray to far from home will encounter these tiny monsters, and that outrunning one is impossible. The fashionable red caps they wear are dyed with their victims blood.

Lovely sprites you are showing here Toffi :)

All thanks to our current enemy sprite artist, Emco, as they're messing with lesser enemy sprites right now

When we hit the mile marker for beta testing it will be a closed group to keep track of who posts it to any cart selling or ROM websites with an unfinished game.  I'll let Toffi know that you are interested in future beta testing

Here's an original enemy type coming to you directly from the AoC team. This ones a zombie dragon that has been slashed to pieces, but has sown itself back together through Dracula's dark magic .
Credit goes to Emco for the design on this one!

Awesome post Toffi!

Plus Ecmo is doing a bang up job in creating these enemy sprites!

Here's another enemy type from our resident bestiary creator emco! This enemy is based of the African Popo Bawa, a dark spirit that attacks homes during the night. It's name literally translates to "bat-wing", due to its primary form when invading houses. It is said the only way to defeat the Popo Bawa is with blinding light. After a Popo Bawa attack, lit fires will often be placed around a victims home in order to keep the monster for coming back again.

Fascinating story about this new type of evil Bat monster. :)

Also kudos to Emco once again for the sprites.

A living spike enemy has been created! Taking the place of the moving spore, is the Teculo. This urchin like monster comes from Romanian Demonolgy. These small spike balls come from the river styx, they are one of the few creatures that can survive in it. Touching one is the probably the worst course of action you can take though, as the human body is said to become inflated and sluggish when inflicted by its poison.
(like an allergic reaction on steroids)
Fascinatingly enough, the folk lore makes demons are immune to the Tculo's poison and instead use them as throwing weapons or summon them at their side in battle.

Im really loving these new enemy sprites,I can't wait how they'll behave in game. :D

As things progress on me and Toffi's teams, we are slowly moving along!  As my activities have been moved to the weekends for right now I am happy to see that Toffi's progress in understanding CV3 with reVamp is showing along with his spriting techniques that are improving as well!  At this rate, he's going to be a very wonderful spriting partner when it comes to my other stuff!  Dragoon will still be referenced when this project is done

Background sprites are being worked on right now by two other individuals for level design as they're hard at work to when they can manage!  Sadly we are losing our main programmer due to real life reasons getting in the way so our MMC5 sound engine is just hovering in place right now while we work onward.  Our music creator has been very patient with all of this for when things get rolling again on the sound engine and a new track is out I shall link their page to here for others to listen in on the AoC soundtrack!

Other than that, things are moving along!  We thank all of those for showing support towards this!

...and if anyone does ask.  Yes, this project is Legends NES 2.  To what Dragoon wanted and what I took over for him with the help of Toffi.  True this will be coming out way before Legends NES but that's the plan for how we're going to tell this story

Here's some more enemies from Emco. These are the hounds of tindalos.

ENEMY ALERT:
The original crow has been devoured and replaced by the Nachtkrapp, a horrid minion of the night. Children beware, legends say that after sundown the Nachtkrapp hunts, looking for fresh meat. If it sees you, the Nachtkrapp will lift you away to its nest and gruesomely devour you, ripping off your limbs before picking out your heart. The Nachtkrapp can't exactly lift adults off into the night though (because of its small size) however if encountered, legends recommended to look away. As a simple glance at the monsters empty eye sockets is said to cause sickness and death.
Credit goes out to Emco for the design.

Looking into making 8x8 environmental tiles to save space.

This is amazing stuff you posted here Toffi, you & the rest keep up the fantastic work!

Mindflower

Nothing but love for this project, and of course to my buddies working on it. Good luck, wish i had more time resource available to help out more, but tbh i'm already invested so much in Space Complex in that i don't see me doing much, at least for now. Good luck and i will be following the process, and maybe contribute whenever my timetable allows it. :)

Morinis

It's all good, MindFlower

Hoping things go well for that one particular skill set of yours to be used and placed in on a stage I'd like to have implemented in the future  ;)
