How to initiate in translating?

Hi! Right away am gonna say that im dont speak english as my native language, so excuse the horror you are about to read.
Im looking for any source to star learning how to translate GBA roms, especially via HEX system. I have little to nothing of programing knowledge but i have the STRONG WILL. Thats what matter, i hope. I've trying for a long time to get around it, but i always get lost pretty quickly and i give up. Looking forward to hear some good tips and learning sources. Thanks.

Nobody translates anything via hex editing if they can help it.
Hex editors are good for basic exploration of unknown files, simple manipulations and maybe as far as text is concerned then the odd typo. Unless your game is a 50 word menu for a puzzle game or something then you should not be using a hex editor for translation.

I do have a guide to GBA and DS stuff
Though frankly the usual link for getting started works fine here -- the core principles apply to any system really and in many ways the GBA is a lot simpler than older stuff.
