Thank you very much friend, everything continues very well! The work of Fox Cunning and Amilgi is looking great, they are still in the process of the fx pulses, also Eriknoc and Matrixz were incorporated, which are doing tests to incorporate new things or tools that help us to edit sprites! thanks again for your patience

you can visit the link to listen to the new pulse sounds incorporated into the game:

Flaviogames

if you manage to edit sprites it will be spectacular and of course it would also be good to add the main voices, the scenarios were good, but Ryu's scenario seems to have been made for giant characters and not for Nes sprites, if you can correct it will be better

elfor

Which "Street Fighter III (9 Fighter) (Unl)" rom is this for, the one with CRC-32: "22cdd2f6" ?

MrNorbert1994

Please, do not use illegal opcodes for your music code! 99% of the NSF players do not support that feature! Thanks in advance!

It seems they already have edited sprites, because they look good, but I do agree with you about the stage being kind of giant.

If you need help with sprites suggestions I could help when needed.

Flaviogames
the stages were created based on the original game to do them again would be a huge job that I prefer to leave it to someone else ... in the same way I am updating them! On the other hand, the sprites have not yet been modified since at the moment we do not have a tool to help us to do it (remember that each character uses many layers of sprites ... as for the sound Amilgi and Fox cunning are still perfecting their extraordinary work of which I am proud! :D
MrNorbert1994
Sorry, I don't know what you mean by illegal operation codes for your music code! But surely they will clarify it for you shortly

It will be very good to have your help if we can obtain a suitable tool for the case! Thank you, any help is always well received.

This is the rom that was used ;)

I understand, good job, a doubt you still want to correct Ryu's scenario? he is giant compared to the characters

Why a tool is needed? To edit the layering?

Because even if its kind of extra work, that can be done with sprite editing programs, the only thing really needed would be a sprite sheet to work over.

If you can share a bit of info on how are you editing the characters and stages probably we can figure something out.

Here's a tutorial Sics wrote, for those who are interested in incorporating their own stages:
PhotoScape has two very interesting functions built in, which are CRUSHER and WALL.

Considering that each stage measures 384x192, it can simply be cut into 128x8 strips.

   0. (Reduces its palette to 4 colors)

   1. You load the stage in TROCEADOR, you go to the WIDTH, HEIGHT tab, and you configure it 128x8.

   2. Press TROCEAR and in the options box set the IMAGE FORMAT to PNG.

Ready! Now a folder called OUTPUTS will be created where all the fragments of the image will be saved. Loads

the cutouts in the WALL tool (also from PhotoScape) using the ADD button.

You will have something like this:

  1. In COLUMNS you put it in 1.
   2. In CANVAS you put KEEP THE ORIGINAL SIZE.
   3. Keep MARGIN, SPREAD, and ROUNDING at Zero.

As you can see here, the black lines found after every three graphic stripes are missing:

To solve this, create a 128x8 black strip that you will duplicate to fill in the empty spaces and then:

   3. You save the file in PNG format, you chop it again, but now in 128x128 tiles to pass them to the game: beer:

(Sorry, I used Spanish apps, I don't think it's that hard to understand anyway)
The sprites are much more complex to be distributed in this way:

everything is within the project thread

NiO

Spanish is my main language so as soon as I can have free time on my pc I will see how that program works.

Im a spriter, used to do Mugen stuff, maybe thats why I find this really interesting, the hard thing is how difficult its to add or edit sprites.

Amazing background graphic art! It makes the game look like a gorgeous only-for-GBC title!

The new music is also great. It is CAPCOM's 8-bit style! However, I hear the sound effects seem to have changed as well. Now it seems to be using the rectangular wave channel to simulate the human voice? A similar style I've heard in Street Fighter X Mega Man, and it's fun in that style of game. However, this style is always a little strange to me here. I think it's a little different from the original SF2 game, since CPS-1's SF2 games have a very crisp and even exaggerated hitting sound effect, which is one of its characteristics.

Green Jerry

Will the AI be tweaked? The game is hard for me even on difficulty 0. The opponents don't give me time to hit them at all!

(just checked video, looks like you've already inserted music)

Here's my latest update for the soundtrack and sound effects that Fox Cunning has been doing an amazing job of implementing over the past months
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11dF3pR--vm35JpW2By_TNMsXA8_Z_j-R?usp=sharing

Updates include:
- All of the relevant attack voice sfxs imitated with a pulse channel
- Tweaked punch/kick noises
- Touch ups to character themes
- Not relevant for the hack, but I decided to also cover the "New Challengers" character themes (Cammy, Dee Jay, Fei Long, T Hawk, and Akuma) in the same style

At this point we're pretty much finished with the audio implementation, though I imagine another round of tweaks will come at some point, especially if a beta is ever put out for feedback.

cartridge_rom

what an amazing project, great job with the music and sfx sounds, congratulations to all the team.

I know there is still time to finish the work of the project in progress, but I hope the same great team of people who make this project possible will accept the challenge to improve this another Street Fighter Zero 97 for NES are the best for this project.

@sebastian

Any chance that you can add an intro like the SSF2 ryu doing hadouken

Hi.
Is this hack almost available?

sics

If I'm not mistaken he has already released some demos of the game, I imagine he will have done it through his social networks or the youtube channels friends who have supported us from the beginning.

The truth, I don't know the details, what I know, I know because some time ago he consulted my opinion to know what I thought about it, added to the fact that I just saw it included in a game pack in a video of an acquaintance.

I'm sorry I can't say more, but I don't want to break the rules of this forum ;)
