Ganbare Goemon Sarawareta Ebisumaru English Translated???

Ok, so with the recent English translations of the Goemon series for the NES and SNES... I stumbled across a really interesting Goemon game for the original Game Boy that has been translated into English. The description on that video is very odd. It references GG2SMS conversion, i.e. Game Gear to Master System, which has nothing to do with a Game Boy game.

I guess it's just boilerplate copied from that user's other videos, some of which are about Game Gear and SMS games -- which suggests that the part about Supper, Filler, and Wesker might also be leftover descriptive text from a different video.

Anyway, good to know there's an official translation of the game. Is the version in the OP's video just the GBC game running in monochrome mode (if it supports that), or a real backport of the script from the GBC version, or what?

I think it is the original Japanese GB version because the title screen is in Japanese. I love this game and wanted to share this info with you guys. The music in this game is pretty awesome!

That original YouTube link is very odd. The description is probably leftover from his other videos, yeah. Other than the title screen, looks like the same translation. I'm guessing it was fan-hacked from the official English back to the Japanese rom. The four Konami (Super) GB games Konami GB Collection Vol 1-4 were released only in Japan. Then later ported to Game Boy Color, only in Europe, with the Super Game Boy support and tutorials removed. They also changed the numbering of Vol 2, 3 and 4 for some reason.

I'm pretty sure the games were swapped around between volumes in the EU versions.
