Can you make the website always force https/ssl?
« on: July 17, 2020, 06:32:07 am »
Both http://romhacking.net and http://www.romhacking.net don't redirect to https.
The former just adds www and the latter doesn't do any redirection.

As result, anyone that uses them (manually or through outdated external links, e-mail, instant messaging, etc.) browses the website in a non secure way.
Can please you fix this?

Keep in mind Google Chrome and other browsers gradually block or hurt the SEO of such sites, and it might even be illegal in Europe due to GDPR.

Use HTTPS Everywhere:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTPS_Everywhere

It has to be configured on a per-site basis, since not all websites use SSL.

As for RHDN redirecting to the HTTPS version, there's ways to do it in PHP, however, it may have been a deliberate decision to support legacy browsers.

The point is not me but the site's owners - using http means search engines like Google and browsers like Google Chrome declared war on your, claiming you risk your users, plus with GDPR it might even be illegal in Europe.
