Anyone know if there is a way to speed up Mesen through changing some settings? I'm getting some lag which makes it difficult to play stages like Guts man with the falling platforms in the beginning. I tried disabling the hd pack but there is still lag. Just to test if my pc couldn't handle NES emulation (cough cough) I tried another emulator and experienced zero lag. I have an intel i3 2.0 ghz laptop with 4gb ram.

Remember to copy one of the "Music Remixed" patches from the Customization folder. Note that doing that will invalidate your save states with an error message saying something like "ROM not found", because replacing the patch changed the resulting ROM, making it invalid.

Wish I could contact the maker of Mesen, the one in the link on this page does not let you set the controls, it pops up with a huge page of errors and you can not escape it.
