Agreed. But you know, now they have a hack for MK1 that lets you play as all the bosses. At least that's something.  So many things were missing from SNES version of UMK3. It was maddening. So many characters missing a fatality. Ugh...  :(  Not to mention they waited til' trilogy to put in Chameleon and Khameleon. More Stage Fatalities would have been nice too. Waterfront for example, Bank Roof for another.
Insert "Witty Text" here.

It´s possible create this? For Smoke and Sheeva.

I'd love to see something like that implemented too but with layout similar to the arcade. Though it may be difficult for Lucas to do. I would change the boss select to be off screen by pressing left or right from Rain and Noob Saibot for Motaro and Shao Kahn respectively and pressing down from Cyborg Smoke for Human Smoke. But again, it I might consider it a pipe dream for the SNES version.

Parabéns Lucas!

Cemetery stage art helps you to put on next version?

Nelson
Super Monaco GP... It garnered an at-the-time unprecedented 10–10–9–9 rating from Electronic Gaming Monthly's Review and wasn`t a F Indy title.

Thanks for the feedback, my friends. Regarding the rearrangement of the screen to be similar to Arcade, it is a very difficult process, as the backgrounds in the SNES version are not isolated and, if I modify one thing, something else can automatically change, without my will.

What if you cloned the character select code, and redirected it to your own artwork? then hack the game so that it loads your new character select?
then you wouldn't be touching the old tiles, and you'd be more in control of what's repeated and all.

I don't even know if that's possible, just trying to come up with ideas.

but if that's possible then you could make a slightly smaller character select that fits everybody on.
here's something i cooked up last night.

Is just a idea: why you dont remove classic sub-zero from select screen and make it playable like Human-Smoke? With the same code. Choose normal sub-zero and input the comands to play with the classic. On the empty slot of classic sub you can put the Sheeva.

Vanya

That's a pretty good idea, actually.
To further it a bit, also simplify the code to a single button press so those characters can be selected easily.
It's not like there's really a secret anymore.

Bad idea.

The point is to get all the characters on the same screen without having to make codes to enable them.

cartridge_rom

Johnny Cage will be added 8) ... it would be great to have him in the 16-Bit version at last.

always stayed out of the original MK3 and the Ultimate version :(

That was rude.
Also, it's often easier and more practical to work within the existing framework of the game.
There would be a lot more work to do to get every portrait on the screen at once.
The work might be worth it in the long run, but that is for other people to judge.
Also, I specifically mentioned removing the codes for the hidden characters.

You are very unpleasant, how about letting the owner of Hack judge that. It was just a suggestion, because besides being theoretically easier to do, it looks a lot better visually than your idea.

Would you be interested in adding these features to your hack?

I tried to patch both to the ROM, but the BPS file will not accept a different checksum other than the intended, and i don't think there's a way to force BPS patching and try.

Sorry, but bad is your posture. If you don't know anything about programming, at least try to be comprehensible.

Thanks friends for the suggestions, but it has been quite a difficult job. I leave here the video of my most recent hack update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmWWpJ4Xt1s&t=4s

I really intend not to change anything in the songs, and I'm thinking about the possibility of leaving the codes active.

It's okey about the music.

Hopefully you can add the codes in the menu and Human Smoke with select+start.

Are you aiming to re-add the voices to your hack?

Thanks for the cool additions!

Let's see...

If you intend to leave the BGMs as the SNES version, will be at least FOUR stages with the same The Bridge music.

The Bridge
The Balcony
Riverfront
Lost Portal

That's even more awful than Williams/Acclaim lazyness... Heck, even Mortal Kombat Advance had some music variety!

Also, the purple Liu Kang has to go. Wacky original colors are a no-no in my book.

Thank you niuus, for mentioning not only my hack, also Docrow's.

In my hack, the bridge has the music for "The Street" and i restored the colors of Liu Kang and Nightwolf since the 29th of April (because I wanted to keep the originality)
I tried your latest version yesterday, it is pretty cool to have some of the missing levels back, specially The Bridge!

I had forgotten to answer about voices and human smoke ... sorry. I still don't know how to choose Human Smoke via L + R, and unfortunately I can't add the voices saying the names of the characters, I don't know why they don't carry it. But I will definitely put the game to start with all the codes automatically ;) !

The work you're doing here is absolutely fantastic and I can only imagine the amount of work you've put into this! You're doing a fantastic job and I love seeing this progress. My brother and I grew up with this game when we were young so it's nice to see it get some love.
'We have to find some way to incorporate the general civilians in the plot.'

'We'll kill off children in the Juuban district with an infection where they cough up blood and are found hanging themselves from cherry blossom trees.'
