Hello! Today I bring a novelty, this is a modified (and absurdly difficult to modify) version of the SNES Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. By the way, I had already released a version with new sounds and the "Bell Tower" stage, in which I had not been able to repair some flaws, but in this current one, I intend to repair the small flaws of the previous one !! Initially I want to bring back as many stages of the MK3 as possible, along with the sounds that tell the name of the chars and animalities, but as everything happens gradually, here are some of the modifications i did:

* 15 stages in total (8 of the MK3 that were missing)
* Sheeva finally available + Finishers/Vs. Screen!
* New sounds!
* Infinite time for the Kombat Zone.
* More characters run in Stryker's Friendship

-- ATTENTION!!---

1 - To enable Sheeva in normal mode, you must first activate the code "Kooler Stuff" and enable the motaro in the selection of characters, and only. When the Motaro window opens a second time, you then select, and even though Motaro's "portrait" is still there, you will see that Sheeva appears as selectable (also works in 2x2 mode).

2 - Sheeva's Brutality commands are: Y, X, Y, X, X, Y, X, Y, X, A, B

3 - The phases "The Bridge" and "The Balcony" still do not appear in the Kombat Zone due to some problems related to the spaces in the Slots, but this will be resolved soon (the second phase mentioned loads normally when fighting against Motaro)

4 - Some stages still don't give the hook that lead to the top one, but that will also soon
will be resolved.

5 - This hack is in progress and could undergo many changes, so be aware of the possible flaws.

6 - This hack does not work on ZSNES (since the rom has 8Mb), but i believe that in the most modern flashcards (like SD2SNES) it can get normal.

Soon more updates !!

Cool. Look promising. I'm hoping this could eventually be something like this?: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1059/

I've always wanted to see a SNES version of UMKT. Anyways, thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I see as very distant the possibility of having a hack of this quality, for SNES. But I believe that it is possible to take advantage of the space available in my hack for more content.

Dude that link is also redirect to prepatched rom (which also against the forum rules). Can you share it into an .IPS patches instead? I can recommend this one.

I uploaded the patch here on this site, I'm just waiting for approval. I'm new here: D

Cool! I'm eagerly waiting for the final result! Going to apply the patch and test it out right now.

Did you add arcade sprites? They look bigger than usual.

No, all sprites and stages were extracted from the MK3.

Oh, ok.

Have you considered adding the graveyard?

Recently I was thinking about adding the cemetery, but there is no ROM for SNES with this stage, that I could extract.

This is cool. It slowly makes the SNES version the best 16-bit port again.

Anyone knows if there is a patch to enable all the cheats menus from start instead of having to input the codes?

Rodimus Primal

Awesome. Adding in the missing content is well worth it for sure. Though I wish Sheeva was selectable from the start. Have you considered rearranging the select screen to match the arcade a bit more?

To my understanding, the graveyard was not present in any 16 bit version of MK3. Only way to fit it would be to port it somehow.

Thanks for the feedback, my friends. Regarding the rearrangement of the screen to be similar to Arcade, it is a very difficult process, as the backgrounds in the SNES version are not isolated and, if I modify one thing, something else can automatically change, without my will.

StarWyvern

I would like to see more stage fatalities personally. I always thought the SNES version had better quality graphics than the Genesis. I second the post about a SNES version of Ultimate MK Trilogy. Best MK Hack I ever played was MK Project for PC. SOOOOO many characters.  :woot!:

Well to be fair MK Project is a fan game made in MUGEN, not a ROMhack.

gledson999

COngratulation for this hack, i hope you fix the Motaro portrait and add sheeva portrait from MK3 SNES, but this hack is very interesting

Thanks; but inserting Sheeva's portrait is not as easy as people think.

StarWyvern

Yes you are right. lol. It is a PC Fan Game.  :P I have also played UMKT and Revalations for GENS. But I still prefer the graphics of the SNES. But I settle just so I can play with all of the different characters.  ;)

Vanya

Yeah. They really are much better. That's why it's a shame it isn't as complete as it could be.
Same for MK1 on SNES.
