A .cue file is nothing but a text file you can open in Notepad.  Usually it contains nothing but a path to the .bin file and sometimes a track layout.  So, no, if a program is looking for a .bin file, I would not expect a .cue file to work.

Welp, I guess that answers one question. Is the Third line where the ppf is being generated or is it being generated elsewhere?

That is what the readme and the other thread suggests.

ETA: I should note that the other thread suggests spaces might be a problem, so you might want to specify a path without spaces for the ppf folder.

So in the end, this is too complicated for me, so I am just giving up on this. I ended up with a bad sector after trying again and I don't really have the patience to continue. Thanks for the help regardless.

Perhaps when stuff like this becomes a little easier, I might try again.

Could you be more precise about this so that maybe other people trying to use this editor may learn from your experience?

What do you mean by "bad sector"?  Is your hard drive failing?  Did you generate a PPF file?

Yeah, I did end up generating two ppf files and applied them to the game, but after I fought a battle, it came up with Bad Sector -627 (I believe that was the number). I tried using a different game, but it also ended up having the same bad sector after I finished my fight with Solt, Peppor and Karsh.
