Yo Pocket, is it okay if I join in? I'm very handy with sprites.
What were you thinking of contributing? I've got most of the important stuff covered already. The first page hasn't been updated in a while but most of what's left is just little tedious things like the seemingly endless variants on the power ups in SMB3, a few enemies from the Mario Bros. Minigame, better Small Mario and Luigi sprites for Lost Levels, maybe touching up a few existing things. The rest is just waiting on MetalWario64's Mario and Luigi sprites for SMB1, and the build script from DarkSamus99.
Though I also haven't even touched on the stuff stratoform contributed yet.
Hi. Just found this project you were working on. I just wanted to say that you're doing a really great job with this. I heard that you were going on a haitus, so if possible, I would love to try this out once this is released.
I aim to start working on it again soon. It would be really nice to get this done by year's end in time for the Super Mario 35th anniversary. If I must I may end up pushing ahead without help, but that may require me to re-work my plans about the transformed Kings from Mario 3, I'll have to scrap mecha mouser and dry-clyde, and I'll have to just re-use my Lost Level Mario sprites for SMB1.

Hey everyone, It's the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros! I feel bad for all those bumps that didn't have anything to show for it, so I whipped up a little something this morning...
Surprise! Here's a demo .... for Super Mario Bros. 2
https://mega.nz/folder/6CRU3ADY#xV3kUhMufDyreEL_OfErDAWhy Super Mario Bros. 2 and not Super Mario Bros? Give me a break. SMB1 isn't quite done. The sprites I've done are meant for Lost Levels and I still haven't done the small sprites yet. Also, I'm using Yoshi Fanatic's hack that splits into individual games. I couldn't get the brick fix patch to work on stand alone SMB or Lost levels, and I couldn't stomach the idea of my version of SMB1 not having the brick fix.
Now a few things to note about this Demo.
This Demo does not have any of the color pallet changes in it... with the exception of the un-ripe turnip from the box art of SMB2. So that means Triclyde is still green, Wart's robe is really light blue, Toad's cap still has the yellow hue, Luigi's green hasn't been darkened, and there isn't any of the blue in the Princess's sprite. The color pallet editing is really tedious work that I want to save for the final version of the game, and since Yoshi Fanatic's hack technically builds an entirely new rom, I couldn't keep any of my progress from the full game's color pallet work.
And second of all, this patch is meant for The Super Mario All-Stars + World rom, I specifically patched it to Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (U) [!]
EDIT: Since my patch was giving people issues, I've added a second patch. If you're using the Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (USA).sfc rom, use SMB2(USA).ips
If you patch it to other versions of the game, the graphics will be scrambled. I assume this is because Yoshi Fanatic's hack is only meant to build SMAS+W and not SMAS. A real shame, I don't intend to make a SMAS+World version of this hack since I can't do anything about the Koopaling colors and the simplistic SMW color pallet is driving me crazy. I really could have used the build script to speed up what's left of the rest of the hack instead of picking through the fully assembled rom for the sprites I need to edit.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Just keep what I said about the pallet in mind.
PS: If anyone can actually figure out how to make the brick fix work on individual SMB and TLL, let me know, I still really like the idea of having the games split up on my SNES classic menu.
EDIT: I can't seem to get the seperated rom to run on my SNES classic so scratch that notion I guess.
