I'm not working on this or any hacking projects since the last round of updates for all three projects.

I'll be back to game hacking during the next couple of months to finish a Goemon translation, and when I'm done with that, I'll tackle the dialogues update for X5, which should be v2.0.4

There's nothing else in the works though, and I don't guarantee there will be.
If I disappear, and someone else wants to build on top of what I did, my documentations are all already published on the archive.org download link for each project.
Thanks for do this great work, i fan of Megaman, it only remains to say thank you for what you did with Megaman 8, X4, X5 and X6.By the way, today the channel J's Reviews made a new visit and remake their review of X5, in that video he mentions you and how much he liked the improvements(https://youtu.be/KB8AR3zHYxQ), without a doubt you are reaching more people, in his next X6 review he will still check the X6 Tweak.
It only remains to say that you have given us a corrected way to play Megaman X on PS1, thanks Acediez

Thanks for the kind words, and for the heads up on the mention of the hack. Great review of the game too, it gave me a couple of new ideas  :)

The only things you need fix is:
Put the main dialogues after shoting the enigma on Dark necrobat with X;
Switch the dialogues after casting the riddle to the alternate ones in the part after shoting the enigma on the Dark necrobat with Zero;
Swap the alternate dialogues for the main ones in the part after launching the enigma on the Spike rosered with the zero and the same thing with after launching the shuttle in this phase.

Still hoping to see this project done. I like the idea of having the cutscenes skip, Alia being silent during the game, the original names, and re-translations, the parts system change, having them have both the life up and energy up in the game and some bug fixes.

For me I like the idea of the original set up for the armor system because it is somehow connected to the story.

I prefer the last hunter rank as MEH (Most Elite Hunter) rather than MMH (Master Maverick Hunter)... if it is possible

Having item drops in Xtreme mode is better

With regards to the enigma and shuttle cutscenes, I prefer the enigma being conditional by having completing the parts they needed and the shuttle being RNG which gives way to more freedom to the game by speed running I guess to those who wanted to fight shadow devil first and still have Zero in the game.

On the other hand, with regards to accessibility of the Light Capsules in Tidal Whale and Dark Necrobat Stages I prefer having it the original way it does with X but having Zero able to have it by using Sougenmu (Twin Dream).

I prefer Zero's learned skill in Japanese Romanji which follow the initial idea from X4

It'd be nice to see increase sub size for cutscenes too, as there's plenty of black bar space that could be used.

If you make any modifications from the README guide, you have to use EDC/ECC recalculator, or else the game will crash.

The patch is only compatible with the US release. I don't think acediez is interested in making versions of the patch for other releases.

Update: Seems like letting the timer run out WITHOUT using the Enigma in the menu (and of course, missing at least 1 Maverick) made it go like usual (Zero is unplayable and you get the bad ending route as intended), still I have to try the scenario with 1 to 3 parts of the shuttle.

I've recently discovered this (as well as the X6 improvement project), and I must say that I am interested. However, I wonder how I can run this, and what emulator would run these patches best. I just tried to run these (actually, just the patched X5; I don't know about X6) on ePSXe, but the emulator crashes.

How can I get this to run? I am wanting to test these before I ultimately purchase and mod a PSP, the platform I really want to play these on.

Buddy, I don't think anyone plays on ePSXe anymore. You're better off with Mednafen or Duckstation.

Iiiiiiiiiiinteresting. If you don't mind me asking, which one of these emulators is the better?

EDIT: I installed DuckStation, and the games are loading just fine. I'm going to play through in the future to see if there are in fact any issues.

If one wants to consider Megaman X3 Zero Project Canonical, the dialogues between Dr.Light and Zero about Falcon Armor boots would look like this:
