Absolutely love the inclusion of the subtitle on the title screen.
I particularly like your last (3rd) example, it's really classy in its implementation.
To put it simply; it just looks good.

Just a bit of a note on the subtitle...

Due to attribute tables on the title screen, if I put the subtitle ABOVE the sword, I'm limited to only using the colours of the sword on the subtitles, hence why it's in blue (I could maybe make the deep blue a bit darker so it looks better), and if I put the subtitle BELOW the sword, then I can use black or its colour.

Let me know what do you guys think.

Just a sidenote, wouldn't it be more approperiate to call the Magical Sword as the Master Sword instead?

Hyrule Warriors makes it clear that the Magical Sword is a different sword entirely from the Master Sword, so no.

I'm not a fan of backporting lore aspects of later games of a series to earlier games. I can appreciate the consistency this presents, but I think it's interesting to see how a series evolves over time. For instance, I really don't like how re-releases of Final Fantasy games tend to have bonus dungeons filled with bosses that first appeared in subsequent games.

Yeah it is confirmed the Magical Sword is different from the Master Sword.
The same would apply for Minish Cap or the Four Swords games, same for the NES ones, it's an entirely different sword from that of A Link to the Past, even if they take place in the same timeline.

That's one thing I set the bar when getting things from subsequent releases, when it breaks the story and its development into other games.

Speaking of cramped, I feel like it'd look better without the leafy box too.

i love the darkest blue for the font in the above, and the space looks great with it below. either way is

They ARE iconic but so is the 255 rupee limit and bomb walls you can't see haha

I like the Zelda logo, and removing the leafy border would let it breaaaaatheeeeee. It's like it's trapped in the box and it's sad to me

If the border goes, the original sword design goes too

I like the fourth one the best, But would prefer the text to be black, if it can't be changed the Deeper blue is a nice alternative.

I have updated the hack today with the title screen change, and I also made the change of changing "LEVEL-X" above the map while inside dungeons to "DUNGEON-X".

For the title screen subtitle, I went with this one (image in-game):


It doesn't the change the palette as much, and it still makes the subtitle have a good colour that's visible, but not as dull. Also, I kinda like the blue, makes good contrast with the red and black to make it distinctive.

Found a slight issue. With all the GFX that have been changed the Link Awakening GFX patch now shows GFX inconsistencies. Bombable walls, burnable bushes stand out as they still look like the OG GFX. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
