Question regarding Famicom Disk System conversions
« on: August 15, 2019, 04:19:13 pm »
Has anyone successfully converted a Famicom Disk System game to .NES format?  Is this something even possible?  Would be interesting to know if anyone had ever done this.  If they have, and this question is dumb, then I apologize in advance.  Curious if doing these types of conversions to remove those annoying loading screens would be worth the effort.  Also wondering if it would make hacking those old games easier like converting mappers and such.

It's been done officially and unofficially.

I don't believe any of the unofficial FDS to NES hacks have been made public aside from the repo cart releases.

Search for fds conversion roms in goodnes. I don't think converting for disabling loading screen is worth it. I think converting would make future hacks easier.
