[PC] Monarch Monarch English

Mainly posting it here as PC submissions are not allowed currently. Finished v1.0 of my English translation of Falcoms Monarch Monarch (spiritual sequel to Lord Monarch). The main target is the digital release of Monarch Monarch (Distributors listed on https://www.falcom.co.jp/games-data/monamona ). But it works with the CD release as well.

Game and manual is translated. I left the Installer alone since there is no real reason for running it, since all it does is copy the content of the Lm_win folder.

Neat. Nice to see one of Falcom's vast PC library get a translation. AFAIK, PC translations are allowed on the site (There are plenty hosted here), so I would go ahead and submit it.

Is there a good reason for that? Dont remember seeing anything on main page about that (unless i just passed my eyes too quickly in the page).

Congrats for the translation of this falcom's game, i hope this will be one release of many.

It's probably just a misunderstanding. It says this in RHDN Policy:

PC hacks are generally out of scope as there are many entire sites devoted to PC game modding. However, an exception may be made for something unique to our community such as obscure Japanese PC game translations.

Like I said, I would go about and submit it based on that.

I had a back and forth with Nightcrawler about this some months ago. I won't post private communications with forum moderators or staff, but according to him - and the site's own database - absolutely no PC content is being accepted at this moment.

i hope u consider translating the map editors for this game and lord monarch original + pro. These are amazing games that are so playable even today. a translation for all the modular tools + prequels would be a dream come true for western fans of this franchise.

Are there any plans to translate the 3 Minna no Mona Mona games? I was under the impression they used the same engine.

I found and installed za source from archives then downloaded the patch and once I finished the installation of the original CD I just over patched it (just patched over the original installation) yet it seems that it didn't work also there's some issue once I start the game it says something that the device isn't compactibile

Haven't really run into it, but I know that the official installer runs into permission problems when trying to run it (since it tries to write stuff to c:/), which is why I recommend just copying the LM_WIN folder to a location that you like instead.

I might look into it if I can get a hold of the games. But I was under the impression that they were just Mona Mona but split into 3 parts and made easier?
