Why is Bohemian Rhapsody called Bohemian Rhapsody?

Because it is. ;)

Because it is a Bohemian Rhapsody.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this title was supposed to mean Linked Lives Story. Japanese make the weirdest mistakes when they write in English, so it could have meant something we would never be able to figure out unless we had a conversation with the person(s) who came up with it. It might even be a misheard phrase from a song or movie.

As stated previously - "Linkle Liver" does not appear anywhere (neither in the game itself, nor in the manual). It's something like "The story of Thor" - does not mean anything.
I'm not sure if the Beyond Oasis retranslation is anything to go by, but in the intro, it says: "Long ago, there was a war on an alien world called Thor" (vs "Kingdom of Oasis" in the official translation).

I could maybe see that, but the title is written in English and Japanese.

But the Japanese writing is just the English title written in Katakana characters for easier pronunciation by Japanese gamers.

It was about the official version of the game in the European region, the title of which featured the word "Thor", but the game itself did not say anything about it.

Wow this is awesome. Thanks team! I hope more Saturn projects will follow in the next few years (Lunar Magic School, etc).

I think GameFan called it Wrinkle River Story - pretty crazy that it's actually Linkle Liver.

Japanese Sega saturn and Playstation games translated 1000% > than new games for me

FlashPV

Since the title screen design gave us hard time I hope we'll don't have to change it.
Otherwise here's a real question:
Why Dead Dance is called Tuff'Nuff in the US?  ;D

Well, NoA didn't allow "dead" things on its consoles.
Where they pulled "Tuff E Nuff" from, I don't know. But it was the '90s and everyone was too X-TREME to spell things correctly. :P

Translations are a derivative work and making them is the exclusive right of the copyright owner.  If we can accept translated text, even though that violates copyright, we should be able to accept translated videos too.

(And if you're thinking "the images in the video are the same as the ones in the original, but the text is not", that makes no difference as to whether the translated text is a copyright violation.)

Indeed.

But I do think that it is a spelling mistake and "Liver" is supposed to be river.

Does anyone know if this game will play on a US SEGA Saturn?
I have a modded US SEGA Saturn, and I was considering burning it to a disc and playing it on actual hardware, but will I maybe need a saturn that plays JP CDs?
I have seen translations before not run on US SEGA Saturn hardware is why I ask.

We haven't applied any regional changes, so yes, it's the same Japanese-locked game. Grab an Action Replay cart for that.

That being said, the title stays as is. And yes we thought a lot about it.

Maybe Livers is bad case of japanglish and they meant livers as in those that live in a place?

Is there a country or city called Linkle in the game?

o_O "japanglish"? i think you mean "Engrish".

Hot damn, I was just looking through posts on Twitter about our translation and came across a pic with a typo in it. So I think it's safe to assume there will be another release. I'll probably take the opportunity to playthrough the translation again and make some further refinements to the script. Nothing major of course, but the quest for perfection never stops even if the first release was pretty damn good.
