Archive dot org should have it. Anyone else having problems? I sure hope I didn't mess something up.

Mario Bros 4P (World) rom version patching worked, thanks for the tip

Checked the Mario Bros 4P recoloring...it's nice but my color fix is better in my opinion.

I think it's the patching.

LunarIPS doesn't work.

SNES ROM Utility doesn't work. It runs, but it gets some sprite glitches with this.

I didn't try this site's patcher but I tried this one (https://bbbradsmith.github.io/ipstool/) and it worked (But you need to check the option " Fake SNES header.").

Well the real hassle was to actually translate it. It works for me with WinIps. I couldn't imagine a different patcher would work different, thought they all did the same thing.

Hard to say. Used same USA version as always.

It's not that critical though, as I have older working version of this coop hack. Not sure how important latest improvement are...donnow.
Can try again with some other...instance of that rom.

What I'm googling recently and can't find - ANY tips on how one can make coop hacks, would make it my hobby.
Maybe I should write to Corpse Grinder again. A nice fellow.
Though he said to me before that it takes from 3 month to a year to make a coop hack. Hard work.
He did mention maybe finishing Jungle Book one.

I also wish I could do that. I'm only standing on the shoulders of gigants in order and try to make new hacks out of their multiplayer hacks. I have a real hard time finding the time and patience to actually learn ASM but I gather some bits and pieces here and there.

Ok, so I've downloaded a clean rom again and made a new patch. Perhaps Lunar Magic tinkered with my original rom somehow. Or it was a unheadered version. Anyways, the same dropbox link is updated with readme and patches. It should work with LunarIPS. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Somehow this time couldn't patch "Super Mario World" as well, what version that coop hack refers to?

NesDraug's patch used the USA Super Mario World rom with a header. You can use the program tush to add one. Most roms don't have them any more, but Lunar Magic annoyingly adds one every time you edit a rom with it.

Wow. So that was what happened. Lunar Magic (level editor for Super Mario World) adds a header if you OPEN the rom. Not save. It adds one if you just loads it into the application! The alternative patch is for a rom that has already been opened by Lunar Magic then. Bogus.

I assume that people who deal with SMW hacks a lot know to use a headered SMW rom when patching since Lunar Magic is what's used for all of them. Most of the ones found online are unheadered, though.

Yeh. New patches will work. I keept the faulty ones as "alternative patches".

There's a pretty good cooperative multiplayer hack of The Legend of Zelda A Link To The Past called A Link To The Past Online (alttpo). I found a Youtube video that describes how to use it, and it worked well for me.

There's also a cooperative multiplayer rom hack of Pokemon Emerald called Pokemon Quetzal multiplayer made by TenmaRH. For me, it's still too glitchy to be worth using, but maybe someday it will be updated to a playable form.https://www.pokeharbor.com/2022/07/pokemon-emerald-multiplayer/
