Wow those are GREAT! I really did want to make covers myself from your posts a while back. I was going to use those SNES Remake arts since they were portrait oriented like NES boxes, but I really like yours more. Having the original taglines is such a fantastic touch! And no worries I%u2019m not a bit upset with anyone, more myself than anything with how much I put it off. But I%u2019m fired up and going to finish this!
Dracky has his name as Silvapithacus (don't know if Silvapithacus is called Dracky)
Laserlambert! Good to see you back! I%u2019m amazed you can just breeze through this so quickly. As for this, this is what I get for putting it off. I switched some of the early monsters with some of the later monster names for testing. In case you%u2019re wondering, Silvapithicus is the longest one word monster name with a whopping 13 letters. You might see that 2 and think %u201CCan%u2019t you just add a space?%u2019 Short answer: No Long Answer: Technically, I can by making the window longer, but then it sticks out horribly underneath the dialog.
I don't know if I was asking for this glitch by dumbly naming my character AAAA
but the other characters being named 0000rd and 0000de might be a problem, though the names might have grown on me already lol.
Huh, I%u2019m at a loss here. That%u2019s clearly supposed to be Sigurd and Isolde. This uses abw%u2019s new ASM tweak that makes the names random as opposed to based on the Hero%u2019s name. Hopefully it%u2019s just from some mismanaged tables.
And one last glitch that seems emulator specific, I usually use the Mesen core on Retroarch and when you get to the text crawl at the beginning of a new game it causes this visual glitch on all black backgrounds.
Okay, I know the problem. The lines for the intro crawl can%u2019t be too long. I probably forgot to change it after figuring it out. Had no idea it messed up other emulators, I just got extra flickering in FCEU.
Just one thing I%u2019ll ask laserlsmbert, if you can, please keep an eye out for dialog when an enemy strikes first. I could%u2019ve sworn I caught the dialog not displaying the right string when I had an enemy ambush (kinda like how the Gold Obtained string changes when a defeated enemy drops an item, it%u2019ll use the Gold found in a chest string) I might%u2019ve just not had the ASM and strings set properly when I saw it but it%u2019s hard to recreate.
