Does anyone here know how to translate a PS2 game?

I'm currently trying to translate Kingdom Hearts 1, but I can't get the game to work. When the iso is put back together, the game won't even start on PCSX2 or the PS2 itself.

In addition, I hate having to change each individual hex instead of just typing, and no hex editor that's compatible with PS2 games allows for the use of tables (as far as I know). MadEdit doesn't allow them, Hex Workshop doesn't allow them, and WindHex isn't compatible with PS2 software.

I'd ask the guy who worked on the translation for Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, but it seems that he's off the internet, and he's never revealed anything about how he did it. Nobody who has worked on PS2 translations seems to want to reveal anything.

Does anyone here have advice?
