Never dig into that series, so I know next to nothing about it. Its kind of a spin-off / side story of the Megami Tensei series perhaps?

Sort-of, but think less SMT and more Fire Emblem in some respects.
One of the best soundtracks ever to grace the SNES' SPC chip, though!

Yeah, it's basically a strategy-RPG spinoff of the Megami Tensei series. The concept would later be revisited and further developed in the Devil Survivor games for the Nintendo DS and 3DS.

All I recall thinking when Nintendo announced a Megaten and Fire Emblem crossover game (was that Tokyo Mirage Sessions or something else?) is "Atlus made that 20 years ago and nobody's heard of it"

There's not as much story text as TM Zero (or Last Bible III), yeah. I'm already essentially done with the law-light path (and the game shares a lot of text between paths, so a lot of the other paths are mostly done).

However, pretty much half the game's script is in the negotiation text. There is a BUNCH of it!

The plus side is that the negotiation text is probably the best part of the script, because I've got to say that it has some of the funniest conversations in any Megaten-related release I've ever played. I think it's in some part due to the fact that the main character isn't a silent protagonist, so there are a lot of snappy comebacks and plenty of attitude.

Same, though frankly there probably aren't that many spectacular potential translation projects left for it. SFC however is another ball of wax entirely... by the way, have you considered doing the first game as well? I'm guessing it's more rudimentary, and likely has less unique conversations, but the soundtrack seems really dope, at least.

cccmar: There are a few Famicom games I still want to do. For me, a game doesn't have to be spectacular. I just have to like it, personally.

As for the first Majin Tensei, maybe eventually. It has decent music and good background/enemy graphics, but I'm not as much of a fan of part one. The story is very sparse. You beat battle after battle without so much as a few words of plot development most of the time. It would be nice for completion's sake, though. I'm mulling it over, of course, but that's all it is. Just considering it. I haven't ruled it out.

I finished translating all of the story dialogue.

Now all that remains to be translated are conversations and some scattered system text.
