I don't currently possess the skills to make this happen myself, but this seems like a file that might already exist somewhere.  I've searched the database for Zelda/NES, but nothing stands out...unless its named something inconspicuous.  Which i would understand, but if someone could point me in the right direction to find it or make it...I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think there was a video of a guy who proposed in the same way.
Maybe it was the same guy here. Maybe he never releases the hack after he had done it.
It seems there are a lot of people here with zelda hacking knowledge.
Maybe somebody is willing to help.

I'd be more than happy to give you the info/help you complete this. It's actually fairly easy (at least I think so), you just simply need the right information. This is a wonderful thing that you want to do!

Going outside the scope of your request a little bit, I just want to say, be sure your girlfriend is the kind of person who would be impressed by this kind of thing. Spending the rest of your life with someone is a big deal. My impression is that if the proposal seems like a cheap shot, it will either hurt your chances or create years of resentment.

I think it's a cool idea, but remember you only get one chance to propose.

I believe she will appreciate this.  I even got her the Zelda triforce ring from sapphire studios so it should go well together.
