So I'm pretty mad right now.

There's a new device on the market, the "Classic 2 Magic", which allows users to plug SNES carts into their SNES Mini and play them.

Guess where they got the 257 Canoe patches from.

 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I know, they are making money with all the Hakchi community work.
The Other Guys and Mad Monkey arent also very happy to see their work on that device...  :banghead:

I'm trying to spread the word, and asking people to not buy it, but who knows how much use that will be.

OFFTOPIC: Question about NES Mini

Hi! Any chance to get working Crisis Force on kachikachi? I have read there is a MMC3 hack but I don't find it.

Update your latest No-Intro sets, now NES and FDS ROMs comes with headers

Is the latest the 2018-06-04?

I'm a noob on this forum so forgive me if this is the wrong thread.

I'm trying to add rom hacks of the IPS format to my Snes Mini via HakchiCE.

Tush used to asses the correct headers/no header state of affairs.
Then Lunar IPS then used to patch the IPS with the specified original rom from Romhacking download page.

When I add these to Hakchi I still get the "there is a patch for this" alert, unlike what succesful patchers get in their youtube instructions.

When I try to play the games on the Snes Classic it just goes black for a second and then I get booted back to the games select menu.

What am I missing out here?

Exactly what games are the ones that do not work for you??

Sounds like they're being patched twice? Once by you and once by hakchi?

Any one can help me with this translation?? (http://www.peaso.com/files/parches/ips_evo_hexord.zip)
I'm triying to play it in the SNESmini with Canoe but always gives me C7 error, I think the patch maybe add header or something strange when it is applied but TUSH says me the rom is corrupted.
With Snes9x works fine any one knows what can I do to make it run in Canoe??

Thanks.

Super Bomberman 3 with NTSC patch:

The screen turns darkness in sea levels (stage 3) only when there are octopus enemies (first level and others)

Edit: it's normal, the screen goes dark because the octopus throws ink, I think. Strange and ugly effect though.

I can’t seem to get it working
For .bps files use BEAT (http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/893/) and follow the program instructions.

I will be more specific I use floating ips which works with .bps files and it patches and works on emu’s but gives garbled save when you save and refuses to boot on canoe. Maybe I’m using wrong original Crimson Echoes patch or not using correct settings with sfrom tool. Any insight.
(I thought there was just one main Crimson patch everyone used) (what’s the 0000 + 03 mean? preset id and 03 is??) the patch was shared on page 111

EDIT: Thanks SupaSAIAN I bet that is what i was doing wrong after patching with beat or whatever the file it makes SFROM tool is not compatible with or I can’t find the correct area to enter the extra byte value.

If you use the Sluffy patches dont use Sfrom tool, they are made to use only with lunar (or beat) and Hakchi.
The 03 is the Extra Byte value and you must enter it in his area of the ctrl+alt+e menu, in Sfrom Tool is called Super FX or something similar.

For Crimson Echoes you need to use Sfrom Tool, go to the edit menu and advanced options and use preset 123F, SuperFX should be set to 00, and rom map needs to be set to LoRom, it the only way it works correctly in Canoe

I'm sorry if this is an offtop in this thread, but I haven't been able to find a more appropriate one.

It is me or BPS soft-patching in SNES9x 1.56-2 doesn't work anymore? It worked fine in 1.55, but yesterday I updated to 1.56-2 and now it just doesn't load BPS patches with the games anymore. IPS soft-patching works normal.

Hi, Report of issues on Canoe for Jelly Boy (with PAL to NTSC patched)

- first an obvious (minor) graphical glitch that occur when a window is opened -> the window (its border) don't totally disappear when we close it and so an artifact is present until you die of finish the level : video here : https://youtu.be/uFfS_edkuCM. 6810 has no effect on it

- second : the background sound has a parasitic noise/slight rattling on bass, probably something pretty close it was with Plok (without patch) : EF10 and EC10 have no effect on it
