Dragon Knight 4 (Japan) (1016)

Menu cursor is kinda like pseudo-gradient. Try adding backdrop to blender. 2 testers.

Ah, this one might be one of those tricky ones then. :(

dragon4a-1 + 1016
dragon4a-2 + 1016
No change unfortunately.
The menu screen still just displays a static image with no indication of bright/dark cursor.

I also noticed another issue, not sure if it's caused by 1016 though, or if it's related to menu screen issue.
The attract mode does not display correctly.

When the words "Dragon Knight" appear after the "Elf" logo screen, it should have a kind-of scrolling(?) effect. Not sure what to call that effect.
Instead, it just displays the whole "Dragon Knight" with zero effects like so:
https://i.imgur.com/6pV4wyz.jpg

The next screen should have different images appearing in the middle of the shield.
Instead, it displays nothing except for just a blank shield like so:

I’m playing Ogre Battle with the preset ID 0000 (hakchi2) and no notice any issue. However, in the Robin64’s SNES Compatibility list is marked the preset ID 10B8 for Ogre Battle. Which preset ID is recomended to use? Thanks in advance.

The official ID is the one you should use.

Some IDs at Robin64's SNES Mini Compatibility List are wrong.
For example there is Bahamut Lagoon with ID 10F8 and gives C7 error to me, I have to run the DeJap translated ROM with ID 0000...

That's because the ID is 108F, not 10F8.

Anyway both IDs (in Hakchi 8F10 and F810) gives C7 error, I have just tested it right now.

Canoe might be too inaccurate (strict) to emulate blending. But try some more.

I checked Lufia II with 1016 and 1068:
The issues still persist. (Checked Rally spell and Sinistral battles)
Actually now when the Sinistrals use there wave attacks the color change of te player character sprites when they are hit by the attack is also missing. (the character sprites should Change color when they are hit by the attack)
The zap spell looks correctly, but that has never looked wrong anyway.

Try a clean game (no translation) with 8F10. If it still doesn't work, then try:
8D10
8E10

I suspect 8E10 will work.

Give South America tunnels another try. Drive slowly at gear 1 when going through.

Lufia II might be impossible without an emulator fix. I'm sometimes mixing up Fry and Zap.

Bahamut Lagoon requires the use of the VC patch to be able to use its preset

Amazing progress with checking and fixing these games guys! So I'm also playing another version of CT currently: Chrono Trigger+, which is an ExHiROM. Decided why not and applied your CT fix patch Sluffy, and sure enough it converted it to an ExLoROM + S-DD1!

Using ID 110B + 03 the game successfully loads with Canoe! Menu opens, you have full control of Chrono except there's one problem...you can't leave his room, lol. If anyone wants to take a look and see if this version could be a simple fix to run on Canoe?

Fucked IDs I'm getting crazy, both IDs makes the game launch but I'm not sure if they really do anything.
I think I'll leave Bahamut Lagoon with ID 0000 until someone says other thing.

Bahamut Lagoon requires the use of the VC patch to be able to use its preset

But using that ID (8F10) really makes the game runs better or it runs the same way as with ID 0000??

From my tests it should be fine to keep running it with 0000, the VC patch screws up some text in the English translation

Saw Supa's video. Tunnel seems fine? I also not see the other glitch when cars and objects are behind the road. It seems they don't clip through it anymore. And I assume the horizon line should be fixed in dark tracks too?

Hissatsu Pachinko Collection (Japan) -- Looks fine.
Hissatsu Pachinko Collection 2 (Japan) -- Looks fine.
Hissatsu Pachinko Collection 3 (Japan) -- Looks fine.
Hissatsu Pachinko Collection 4 (Japan) -- Looks fine.
Hisshou 777 Fighter - Pachi-Slot Ryuuguu Densetsu (Japan) -- Looks fine.

Hisshou 777 Fighter II - Pachi-Slot Maruhi Jouhou (Japan) -- I think this one needs Hi-Res ID for texts (0000: https://imgur.com/Tidkhlm, 1610: https://imgur.com/krXTHBE), I'm not sure if doing that incrases the gamma in text boxes or not.

Honkakuha Igo - Gosei (Japan) -- Looks fine.
Honke Hanafuda (Japan) -- At title screen the card at the left of all looks weird (https://imgur.com/HxR14CJ), during gameplay I didn't notice strange things.
Honke Sankyo Fever - Jikki Simulation (Japan) -- You get black screen when the machine is going to load (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0MqEQMrAUo) and you can heard a noise if you press Y an nothing else, but if you go to main menu pressing reset and then you resume the game you can see this screen pressing X (https://imgur.com/nVRZPNc) or this one if you press SELECT button (https://imgur.com/JnRK5ye).

Thanks!

The 2nd one also has hi-res during the scrolling text intro. Can you check how that part looks?

The 3rd one has hi-res text in the Story mode menu. Can you take pics with and witout the 1610 ID and check if it's fine?

On emulator, if you press X or Select while on the pachinko machine screen, you get the same screens you posted. What I think it's happening is that you are getting a black screen on the pachinko machine, but the game is still running just fine and other screens also play just fine.

I guess this is it then, huh? :'(

It was an awesome and amazing journey though!
You've done so much for not only us but also the SNES Classic community.
We can't even express the amount of gratitude we have for you.
Thank you, and as always, absolutely amazing work Sluffy!

Thank you for taking us all along for the ride. :)

Just thought I might as well go ahead and tell my recent results.

top3.ips = Success!
No more line glitches with tunnels!

I went as slow as I possibly could at the moment a tunnel appeared, I tried this multiple times, and I saw no glitchiness.

Remaining issues: objects appearing through the road on hills, incorrect sprite layering.
I know the incorrect sprite layering is real hardware when it was confirmed on Byuu's forum way back.
Is the objects clipping through hill roads also real hardware? Or at least, are some of them real hardware?

I know one of the previous patches fixed the "non real hardware" object clipping, so I think some of them may be real hardware?
Two-for-one screenshot on Higan:
https://i.imgur.com/9SemrKw.jpg

Also wanted to clarify that 0000 with vanilla Dragon Knight 4 displays everything correctly (menu/text box cursor, attract mode), except for blurry text obviously.
The issues are all caused by 1016, but we need it for hi-res... go figure!
