Am I the only one who doesn't see a point in this hack?
Instead of using save states for each individual game, you'll now be stuck with one (if your emulator saves on exit and loads on start, like Retroarch).
Well for once I like the the idea and convenience of having all Mario NES games in one neat package.
Similar to All-Stars for SNES.
First of all I think I like to have it all in one neat package instead of just being scattered per individual ROMs.
The saving feature is a plus, more so for SMB2 and SMB3, not all people have the patience to go through the game in one sitting, and while I agree having Save States available more or less defeats the purpose, I really don't like to use them, because if I start using them, I abuse them to the point where I use them to cheat (though I'm not talking Mario games in particular, just overall).
For me the saving feature and the all-in-one idea of this hack is an incredible technological marvel and one worthy of having in any ROM collection. This hack basically replaces all of my individual Super Mario Bros. ROMs for NES in just one.
Also, @firedropdl, I didn't even notice that you can change jump direction while in-air in Mario Bros.
Guess Im just too used to it now that I completely forgot the original Mario Bros. kept your jumping momentum ala Castlevania.
