This is frustrating. Your advice worked, and now that I have just the floppies, dos disk, and patcher files in the folder I no longer get the previous error. However, nothing happens when I select the folder with the floppy images as the source. It never says okay, and it doesn't tell me that any files are missing. I've tried putting the floppies in different folders, and no dice. I've checked to make sure that the floppies are the right images. Do you have any idea of what could be causing it?

Is "GO!" button active now? If it is, try to press it.

I wish! No, the source field still states "Not Selected" so the Go button is grayed out. The process itself is so simple, it's irritating that I'm experiencing this issue.

Would you happen to be using the floppies of SDF Macross: Skull Leader, if so that's not the right one. You need the complete pack version.

No, he had correct floppies. It was a bug in patcher. We fixed it already and will update with the patch itself when we collect all responses from the gamers.

Ah ok. I was trying to patch the wrong floppies(Non Complete Pack) and it was doing the same thing to me. When I noticed I was using the wrong ones, I switched them and everything patched after that. Hope the issue will be fixed soon.

Also thanks for translating this! I've been a fan of Macross for years and always wanted to play this game because of it being turn based. I tried to get into it a couple of years ago but, the visual novel sections really put me off because I couldn't read Japanese. Now I can understand what they are saying and enjoy it.

Thanks for the translation, it looks amazing and I can't wait to play it ^_^ At the moment I'm having the same issues as Grillkick with the patcher.  I have the correct files but the source field always says "Not Selected" when I have selected the directory with the disk images.  I look forward to playing once the updated patcher is released :)

Hello all!

I'm a bit late to the game on this one, but I finally started playing the translation of SDFM: Skull Leader Complete Pack. It's pretty awesome and a lot of great work went into it.

However, I'm coming across a few game (or more like Scenario) killing bugs, and I was wondering if anyone else had the same problems:

1) Hikaru storyline / Mission 8 - If I choose the DYRL option and take Minmay for a joyride in Saturn's rings, once the combat mission is complete I get the cutscene, Minmay and Kaifun get folded away, the screen goes blank and the emulator reboots itself.

This does NOT happen if I instead choose not to take Minmay to Saturn's rings (TV series option).

I'm pretty sure this is a splitting point in Hikaru's storyline, as I have seen graphics from the game showing that are DYRL-centric.

2) Kei storyline - there are two points during dialogue where the game freezes, one of which is game breaking as I cannot move ahead:

a) During the story part of Kei Mission 3: Test Pilot, if I go into the Pilot's Club, you finish up your dialogue and then it just sits there. It isn't "frozen," but not more dialogue or actions come up. This can be avoided by just NOT going into the pilot's club.

b) [this one is the breaker] After the combat portion of Mission 3, after Lyle's death, the player MUST visit the cafe and talk to Hiromi. Regardless of which dialogue option chosen, the came finishes the dialogue and then just sits there same as before. But in this case one cannot move on without finishing up this dialogue section.

Any thoughts?

I've been through the same thing happend. After analyzing a few binary files, I found out that some control codes in script files of Kei's story were applied incorrectly during the translation process. And I corrected the errors in Kei's story using the tools provided by the translation team.

The problem with Hikaru's story was a little different. The game's script files seemed to have a size limit of 16KB. However, the EP9 script file size increased during the translation process, so the file was not loaded.

To solve this problem, I had to reduce the file size to less than 16KB, and some sentences of the EP9 opening were abbreviated. And words in Zentradi language were deleted, leaving only translations.

If you are still interested in the game, you can find the patch here.
