Hello everyone!
As our other pending project, Star Cruiser II ended up delayed for various reasons, we're glad to announce that we got something else that is equally fun and enticing.

The Macross series has its share of great games already, no doubt about that, but mostly it boiled down to shmups and sims. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but many people would also love to see some other genres. Say, strategies, visual novels or maybe even dating sims. Why not, right? Apparently, the good guys at FamilySoft thought so too, and so they made just that: a strategy, visual novel and dating sim in the Macross universe, all in one game!
Well, actually they made four games: Remember Me, Skull Leader, Love Stories and Skull Leader Complete Pack. First one is a pretty different and perhaps we'll return to it later, but the second and third ones were packed together into Complete Pack with a little more polishing, so we decided to work on that one.

The translation is complete, but we need some good pilots to fly their trusty Valkyries through this game and help us defeat some nasty bugs we could've missed, since the script is rather extensive as you might expect. ;)

UPD: The translation is released! You can grab it here or there.
Enjoy!

I'm not planning to test since I'm busy with other things, but this looks great! Congrats!

Antarusch

the strategy part of this game is like an srpg?, if so then I would like very much to test the translation.

SkyeWelse

It's great to see some more PC-98 projects coming out! I'm looking forward to playing this on real hardware sometime and I'd be happy to report if if I find any issues or bugs.

No, it's just a regular turn-based strategy. It tells story via VN parts and some battle messages.

Fredde

A dating sim+strategy game actually seems pretty fitting for a game based on Macross.

Corvo

Man, those PC-98 games are really beautiful. A shame it's so difficult to find some software for it and the PC-88. I'd love to try translating the first VOTOMS game (VOTOMS Black Unicorn), but I've never been able to find it anywhere. I even tried to get in contact with someone to buy the physical disks for me. It's like a forgotten part of the japanese gaming market.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this Macross release.

Kallisto

I remember watching a video where there was this store that was still selling a lot of old computer & console gaming parts, it seems like in some way Japan is kind of keeping it alive, but you have to look for it.

As for the games themselves...well that is a different story.

There is an online service called Project EGG that sells disk images, but they do so on a rotation schedule. IIRC, the game I'm looking for was sold in 2009 only, I think.

Your new website is very nice. Ooh, mwah, mwah :-*, totally beautiful! But it doesn't appear to list the four older projects that your namesake team had done previously. Will you add the pages for them there?

Yes, we will add our older projects there too. Just give us some time please. :)

I'm getting an error when trying to run the patcher application. I've posted a screenshot to photobucket, the link is below. I'm running Windows 10 64bit. I also tried it on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop and the application wouldn't start, just nothing. Is it not 64bit windows compatible? I'm at a loss.

No, it's compatible. Please make sure you have .NET 4.6 installed.
I can't see your picture. Can you reupload it to imgur or something if problem persist?

Grillkick

Ah, sorry about that. I haven't used Photobucket in years. I just checked, and have .Net 4.6.2 installed. I've copied the Imgur link below:

This error pops up as soon as the patcher starts. If I select continue and try any of the options, it pops up again.

Quick update, my Win7 laptop didn't have up to date .NET. I installed it and...received the same error as my win10 laptop when the application started. Hopefully it's a small issue!

Try to unpack patcher to some separate folder without any other non-related files. It tries to search for everything it needs right after start.
Also, I see CUE file. Did you tried CD version of the game? It won't work, you need floppy version (check RHDN project page with floppies list).

Antarusch

I got the game running up in android, thank you very much for this translation, I played a little yesterday and the game it´s very nice and interesting.

Thanatos-Zero

Looks like some staff members from Banpresto worked on the game.
The grid and the turn based strategy rpg, sells it as a Macross only SRW game.

Grillkick

This is frustrating. Your advice worked, and now that I have just the floppies, dos disk, and patcher files in the folder I no longer get the previous error. However, nothing happens when I select the folder with the floppy images as the source. It never says okay, and it doesn't tell me that any files are missing. I've tried putting the floppies in different folders, and no dice. I've checked to make sure that the floppies are the right images. Do you have any idea of what could be causing it?
