Pokemon Thread: Hot Skitty on Wailord Action

Too lazy to look for an old one of these outside using search and finding like 20 threads about dead romhacks.

POINT 1:
I can't play pokemon before Gen 3, am I the only person like this? I just feel that RBYGSC are too dated for my tastes. Even with Red++!

POINT 2:
Are there any good romhacks I haven't played that don't have crappy fakemons? Vega was an annoying slog, I'm looking forward to Gaia. I need to go finish Touhou Puppet Play Purple one of these days. Other than that, I've really only played rebalances like Yet Another Fire Red Hack.

POINT 3:
Opinions on Sun/Moon? I feel that they're honestly the best Pokemon games since Black/White. B2/W2 were excellent but I didn't care for the backpedaling on old pre-Unova Pokemon being transfer/post-game. X/Y are tedious and the Gym 1-Gym 2 gap is ridiculous. ORAS fell short in general for me in a lot of regards, I tried going back to it the other day and had difficulty getting back into it. Sun and Moon are excellent, I'm in the throes of a second playthrough with Popplio as my starter. I'm enjoying it a lot more than the 2 times I replayed Y and the 2 I replayed Alpha Sapphire.

I pretty much skipped straight from Gold/Silver to Sun/Moon, I've only ever played hacks and fangames of the rest of the series, I saw a Shinx in Prism and seriously thought it was a FakeMon.

Honestly though I still love original gen, probably because of my lack of experience with newer mechanics, I liked Moon too, it just got to be trial with the pokebean bullshit and constantly feeding and petting mons, especially when you're the kind of person who loses a stylus every 5 seconds, also I feel that newer Pokemon are a bit I dunno... Uninspired? There is one that is literally a trashbag, and another that's a soul eating sandcastle, wtf.

I'll play gen 2, but Kanto is improved too much in FR/LG for me to look back.

Pokemon Sweet version and it's sequel are both pretty fun.  No fakemons here, they're just all cake and with a completely different type system.  Pretty good jobs here, though he first game is literally Kanto in Candyland.

SuMo is way better than X/Y, but still meh to me.
