Best GBA Rom Hacks

Can anyone tell me what the best rom hacks for GBA are? (Not Pojemon, though, I have too many of those already.)

The Golden Sun community has quite a few. I have not kept up with it all for a while and there is usually a nice bit of drama going on but

The voice acting experiment is where I would look first.

Fire Emblem does well enough. http://www.feshrine.net/hacking/patches.php
I tend to find you get a similar thing here to pokemon and many will make hacks where the idea of playability and game balance is but a vague suggestion but I am not going to discount the lot.

Advance Wars has lots of good stuff http://forums.warsworldnews.com/viewforum.php?f=11
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/909/ would be where I start there.

Not many play it or know of it but the fire pro wrestling hack scene produced some good stuff for the GBA. Such things are about as close as I get to liking fighting games on the GBA too.

Various Final Fantasy ports to the GBA got sound restorations and bug fixes, I would not even contemplate a run of them without the sound fixes. http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/563/ is a start there.

Many would probably point you at the mother 3 translation and I still reckon the dragon quest monsters patch http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1252/ does not get half the traction it should but I shall skip the translation side of things beyond this.

http://www.insanedifficulty.com/board/index.php?/files/category/1-mods/page__sort_by__ASC__sort_key__file_name__num__10__st__20  has some good stuff.

Frankly though find a game you want to play and check there is not something on http://www.romhacking.net/?page=hacks&genre=&platform=10&game=&category=&perpage=50&title=&author=&hacksearch=Go first.

I have not really got anything like either the sequel game to zombies ate my neighbors hack, or the likes of Dragoon X Omega, save perhaps.

Surprisingly I have not see the most from either the Sonic or the Mario set, including Mario Kart. I will give that Sonic and Mario platformers on the GBA were pretty weak but mario kart was a solid little standalone game (not a port of another or just middling like the DS entry).
