The Nintendo competition carts have been interesting me recently.

I found the required files to play Nintendo Powerfest'94 here, (at several removed links)

and you can use higan v0.93 to play them.

This is what the files look like in a folder named at top, if you want to play in Higan v0.93

Does anyone know if these files could be put together into one .sfc file? - everything seems to be there.

Not unless another emulator (SNES9x is the only one I think has really seen updates at all since the ROM was dumped) has added support for the memory mapper. I don't know if any have.

If snes9x did support it, how would you use all those files in snes9x?

I have only ever used single files to load per game in snes9x.

Thanks for replying and any further help :-)

Well, if snes9x did support it, then you would use snes9x to load multiple files.  What an odd question.

You seem to have missed the important part of the question - HOW would you use all those files in snes9x?

That is - HOW would you use snes9x to load multiple files at once?

Zip them up?

Wouldn't that depend entirely on whatever means the developers decided to use to support this heretofore unsupported thing..?

If I'm not mistaken, Windows supports "File -> Open" dialogs where you can select multiple files at once.  Even if it doesn't, the developers could just create their own special "Open multiple files..." dialog.

Or, the programmers could just decide that when using this ROM, all the files have to have the specific names shown in your first post, so if you open a file named scoring.bin it will automatically expect ken-griffey.bin and so on to be in the same directory, and then produce an error message if it can't find ken-griffey.bin.

Or, if I'm not mistaken, all the files are listed in manifest.bml (which you should be able to open in Notepad, as per the icon).  So, snes9x could be used to open manifest.bml and use the data therein to locate the other files.

Or do what NES emulation basically does and expect the ROMs to be concatenated in a certain order.
